Oh my goodness!! The most AMAZING Catfish I have ever tasted in my life!!!! Flaky and tender. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION!! The hush puppies and fries were fried at the exact temperature to come out crispy and delicious. The coleslaw is to die for. The food was served quickly and hot. My Sweet tea had a beautiful clarity. Christina served me a second sweet tea without being asked. Chicken livers were on the board as a special for the day. Don’t drive by. Stop in and tell them Mary sent you. Military Discount too. Can’t beat it!!

The food was awesome. The coleslaw was out of this world good( if you like a sweet coleslaw). The catfish was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The shrimp were freshly battered and great tasting. Virgie was our waitress. She was helpful, friendly, and quick. I wish that David’s Catfish House had more locations closer to Birmingham because we would be a repeat customer on the weekly.

Delicious food with really big portions. The parking lot was full with a lot of locals eating here. This was a good sign. Good southern hospitality – thank Leigh Ann! Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Passing through and decided to stop. It’s a popular place and now we know why. Everything we ordered was perfectly crispy, not soggy! We would definitely stop here again.

Very friendly atmosphere, waitresses are great especially Maggie she’s the best, love her attitude and her energy is great. Ask for her people, she will take care of you guys. Go here a lot, for the most the food is great, love the crab claws, popcorn shrimp, and whole catfish, but some items are pricey, but worth it especially on weekends and after 5 pm.

I’ve driven by this restaurant for 8 years. Finally, one day I decided to dive it a try when my brother-n-law and his wife were in town. I’m very glad I did. The fish was cooked perfectly! Golden brown and crispy. The fries were also great. But the best for me was the coleslaw. They brought a huge bowl of the coleslaw and sat it in the middle of the table. The three of us almost ate the whole bowl of it before the fish was served.
I will be a return customer!!

Now my 4th visit! I had the fried oysters. They were fantastic. My friends had the catfish. There was nothing left when we left!!!! Oh, and the coleslaw was exactly like the last 3 times we ate there, GREAT.
5th visit – My 7-year-old tried fish for the first time. He’s been a chicken nugget fan. He cleaned his plate! Ate all the fish and fries. The hush puppies were his absolute favorite. This is my lunch stop every time I drive through Thomasville.

This is a wonderful local restaurant. We were traveling back home from Tuscaloosa and there’s not too many options. Thankfully, we happened across this place when searching for somewhere to eat that was NOT a fast food chain. Our waitress was delightful and we enjoyed the local charm. Everything hit the spot. Those cheese grits are amazing and you should try them. Super creamy and the right degree of cheesy. The sweet tea is southern perfection. Glad to know this is a great place to stop on future journeys.

We had a seat right away as we walked in. Our server took our drink quarter and brought that immediately. We ordered our food and shortly after it all came out and it was very well prepared. Our server was very attentive and took care of us. The coleslaw was sweet, not sour which made me happy, my wife not so much. The wishes and fish were delicious and everything else we had was very tasty as well.
