Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse is a
solid TEN OUT OF TEN!
Beautiful, classy interior, the height of the walls in the booth seating area provides privacy, as well as a decent sound barrier.
The bar is gorgeous, backlit in blue when I visited.
Just outside the bar there is an area that has curtains if you want a truly private, romantic dining experience.
The menu options are plentiful,
without so many options that it is overwhelming.
An extensive drink menu,
a scrumptious dessert menu, and the appetizer choices are perfect for pairing with any entree.
Fresh bread and hand-grated cheese arrived at our table within minutes, brought by out waitresses Pam, who was delightful!
My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection. The crab-cake on top of his steak was more crab than cake,
(that’s NOT a compliant)
The salad was not over nor under dressed,
and the seafood in my entree was also perfect! Hand-made marinara, al dente pasta, I could go on but this review is getting a little too long already.
At the time this was posted, they have a Monday martini special that comes w appetizer meatballs. I will be back this Monday .
(The peach martini I had will have me returning anyway, but who can pass up free meatballs right?!)

Went here for Sweetests day and it almost ruined our night but we recovered. Okay, let’s start with the positives…. My waiter was amazing! Very attentive, patient, accommodating. He made our drinks and they were good & strong . The food came rather quickly, everything was very timely and the lighting is really good in there! That’s about it for the positives.
The negatives; Atmosphere; I didn’t like that the menus were dirty. Legit food stains all over the menus, including the ones that were given upon us sitting. Everything looked worned and outdated, including the booth/furniture, tables and menus.
The food: We ordered the meat bread appetizer and the shrimp cocktail. The meat bread was unexpectedly underwhelming and the shrimp cocktail was okay.
For entrees we ordered a fillet mignon flight with garlic mash and A trio with pasta, Parmesan crusted sirloin & chicken.
I had to return my fillet mignon flight 4 times because the cook could not get the temp right on the steak. I asked for medium. The first time, only one of the 3 fillets were medium. The other two were very medium well, almost well done. The second time it came back medium rare, and the 3rd time it came back medium rare as well. The very last time I was given what looked like fatty cuts of steak that you wouldn’t normally serve. My waiter was very persistent on making sure it was cooked well. After the 2nd to 3rd time I was over it and at that point ready to go. Eventually my dish was removed from the ticket as a courtesy and I thanked my waiter for his extended accomodations.
Overall my partner and I did not find the place good enough to visit again. The food was seasoned well and okay but all other factors outweighed that and we will not be returning.

We met good friends for a dinner date. Johnny’s was a wonderful upscale restaurant, full of charm, atmosphere and low level lighting. The music made one think Sinatra could walk thru any moment.. the food was terrific and the waitstaff very attentive!

This is a very nice place! I came here for supper with a colleague and the service was fantastic. Even without a reservation, we were seated right away. I took a recommendation and tried the spinach salad, which was excellent, as was the tour entree. The bread they brought out was also delicious, even without any butter or oil. If you’re in the Quad City area and want a great dining option, I highly recommend giving this place a shot!

Omg!!! Loved the atmosphere and amazing food. Best part though was our server Jordan. He was on point with our needs and his attitude was perfect. The food industry needs more happy and attentive servers. We will definitely be back when we next visit Moline.

We sat at the bar since we had no reservations. The bartender was friendly and fabulous! We ordered the bruschetta..DELICIOUS! The entrees we ordered were sub par. The risotto in the scallop arugula risotto was under done and crunchy and did not have a parmesan flavor. Scallops were perfect and super tasty! The beef wellington crust was soggy and the prosciutto tasted spoiled. The side was upgraded to the risotto.. again, undercooked and crunchy. Expecting better quality food for the price.

We were in Moline visiting family and were able to have a private family meal at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse. The menu offered something for everyone including those who are gluten free. Our server Jordan Sr was superb. He listened to all of our thoughts and requests and made the perfect recommendations. Then when we stated we had a birthday and anniversary in the group he chose the perfect desserts for each. Curtains were closed around our table area that allowed us to laugh together without disturbing others. Great food and drinks and even better ambiance.

Me and my husband ate here to celebrate my birthday on 1/25/26 and it was amazing. We got the sausage bread, my husband had the channel no 5 nd i had the shitake steak and mushroom risotto. The meal and atmosphere was to die for! Restaurants like Johnnys is definitely where you pay for quality over quantity but honestly we were ok with the portions considering you get warm and very soft bread to start with. Reservations were made and we were seated within 10 minutes.

I travel around the country on race circuits up to 40 weeks a year, so I eat at a lot of restaurants. This little Italian Steak house is absolutely amazing and I only had lunch. The baked potato soup was stuffed full of things you would savor at a Sunday home meal, I substituted a spinach salad in lieu of fries and I am glad I did; the spinach salad was incredible, baby spinach small leaf spinach, the bacon was thick slice and candied and the goat cheese was good. The salad dressing was understated, very good without being overwhelming. Absolutely perfect combination! Finally, the coup de gras, I got the Monte Cristo sandwich at the waitress’s suggestion and boy was she right, the sandwich was batter dipped and lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar the contents were a wonderful combination of cheese and meat and the dipping sauce was divine! I would usually shy away from a dessert based sandwich, but this combination was just perfect. The chef, wait staff and manager deserve kudos for such a great lunch. I don’t often get to Moline Illinois, but I’d drive an extra hour just to stop here and explore their menu for another lunch or more applying want to come back for dinner! Thank you sincerely.
