If you’re looking for country cooking this is an excellent option.
Highlights:
– Wide selection of dishes (Meatloaf, fried pork chops, fried chicken, bbq chicken, chicken pastry, mac & cheese, collards, green beans, rutabaga, mashed potatoes & gravy and more…)
– Generous portions
– Affordable prices
– Friendly staff
– Comfortable, no frills atmosphere
– Either order at the front for take-out or grab a tray & go through the line to select your items.
Other considerations: This is not a place if your counting calories or a vegan.
Very busy during the lunch hour.

We stopped in a month ago for lunch. We didnt go into the back dining area. We ordered up front.

The woman behind the counter just refused to take our order or even acknowledge we were there. No be with you in one sec. Nothing. She didnt even look our way.

The cook on the other side of the window was asking her for more orders. She ignored her as well. She was just doing her thing up front until she ran out of stuff to do. Then she took our order.

I was watching the clock behind her. 5 mins it took before she even turned to us to take our order. And even then you could tell she did not want to be there and that we were bothering her.

Customer service. 1 ⭐️

Once we finally had our food after being there for close to 25 mins. There was no place to sit. Everyone of the tables was dirty or had trash on it. The floor was sticky and dirty.

Cleanliness 1 ⭐️.

Also. The food was not good and was not worth the wait or the hassle we received.

Food ⭐️.

First time visit and the food is absolutely tasty; my go to will forever be a cheese biscuit and they did not miss with these ! I knew from the cheese pull it would be a 10/10 and that’s exactly what it was, they also included a nice helping of napkins which is always appreciated!

I am in my 50’s and grew up around the best country cooking you have ever put in your mouth! I am blown away that Peaden’s not only comes close but they cook as good as my mother and my grandmother’s which is hard to do. It is real country cooking. You will feel like you are sitting as your mom’s/grandmother’s table. The vegetables, meats, corn bread, and banana pudding are incredible. Be sure to try their collards and cabbage. They are the only restaurant that gets those right! The portion sizes are generous and the price is great! I feel incredibly lucky to have found a place that can give me the food I grew up on!

Tried this restaurant for lunch because it is close to work and it serve country food so I was thinking it won’t be hard to mess up.
They have a to go kitchen up front. And dine in has a cafeteria style line.
So many entree options, ribs, meatloaf, fried chicken , pig tails ….I didn’t see any chicken dumplings though.
Food doesn’t taste bad but not the best country food I had either. Food taste kinda bland, but they give you huge portions, $11 your box is full. Depends how sensitive your stomach is, pick the entree and sides that more lean otherwise you might get bloated like me .
Old Ryan buffet is better to me, as a comparison.

Their breakfast option is probably better than lunch from the looks of it.

Normally I love their meatloaf sandwiches. This meatloaf was over seasoned and bothered my taste buds. Seemed like I was effected my garlic salt or a MSG product.
The cabbage had good flavor but was very overcooked. Didn’t even need to chew it. The macaroni and cheese was greasy from so much cheese! Seemed like they only used sharp cheddar and it lacked a balance.

Nearly cut my leg on broken toilet seat.

Peaden’s is a breakfast and lunch diner with good food & prices. It is all familiar items cheese biscuits and omelets, to hot dogs and meatloaf. If you’re in the area, grab some grub here, and you won’t be disappointed. The last time I went, I ordered a three egg bacon omelet with home fries (last picture) Best place to buy breakfast, especially in North Greenville, hands down.
