The whole experience is really nice, the staff are lovely and everything was really clean. I had garlic mushrooms, cannelloni, and chocolate fudge cake. Everything was great, but the cake was a bit dry. Overall I would recommend it and it is pretty good prices!

Visited without booking and luckily they had room for our group of 8, and there was plenty of variety on the menu to suit us all. I opted for the vegetarian stilton pasta, as I absolutely adore blue cheese. My husband chose the seafood pizza and we shared a side of nachos. We enjoyed our meals and the service was swift and friendly. Good options for vegetarians.

Decided to eat here after walking past a couple of times. Although very busy they found us a table. The food was excellent with a good selection of drinks. The staff were friendly and accommodating and very knowledgable about the menu. The lamb shank was amazing and the pizza was great as well. Highly recommend this restaurant. We had a 2nd visit here after using them a couple of years ago and they were as good as we remember from the last time. I went for king prawn special spaghetti this time really delicious and a Margherita pizza again.

I came here with my grandparents for dinner and I was incredibly impressed with the quick service and delicious food. I got the potato skins starter and the stir fry spaghetti pasta as my main, followed by the crème brûlée for dessert. Overall my food was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it- my only input is that personally i thought my starter was too heavy for me so i couldn’t finish my main meal which was a shame because it was so delicious and I hated to waste it!
However the atmosphere here definitely needed some work, the decor was confusing and sort of reminiscent of a chinese restaurant? whilst the speakers were blasting upbeat music similar to that in which you would hear in a club? it did become quite distracting and it was a shame as I believe a good atmosphere definitely adds to the overall experience. I personally would recommend something slower paced, that can blend into the background a lot easier allowing for a calmer and more appealing atmosphere.
Overall, with the combination of the wonderful service and the amazing food i would most definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family. 🙂

After hearing so much of positive recommendations I had my first visit to the Barbican Pasta bar. I was pretty excited for this meal as two of my friends who dined with them very recently also told me it will be great. So five of us went in to have a nice Italian meal. Restaurant has a different vibe to it in comparison to the other restaurants in the Barbican, a lovely atmosphere to have a nice meal.
Although can’t say the same about the service. I ordered the Lamb shank originally and the young waitress (Jiselle) came to me and said that they don’t have lamb, and I politely asked her whether I can get the same dish with chicken. She very rudely pointed the menu at me and asked me what you want from this. I wasn’t sure whether it was her way of talking or whether she was racist at first, so I let it pass even though it really ruined my mood. Then we were waiting for food and I accidentally spilled water on the table, The same waitress looked at me and our table , saw this and looked away and didn’t even bother to bring me some tissues.
The other waitress who was attending to another table saw this and she brought me tissues very promptly. It was very kind of her.
The food was okay, I wouldn’t say it was extraordinary, but alright. Portion sizes are good and representation was on point. More than the main dishes the desserts were heavenly. Would highly recommend the desserts.
After our meal, when we told to bring the bill the young waitress brought the bill and just when we were about to pay I noticed that they’ve charged me for the Lamb shank and not the chicken dish I ended up having. When I pointed this out the waitress very casually said she will get it adjusted, as if it was my fault. Didn’t even bother to say sorry.
Two of our friends visited the location just two days ago and two Asian servers had served them and they had a delightful first experience. Due to this experience we decided to go there again. I don’t think any of us will dine here again. Even if the food is great, it is the service that matters. More than anything, I felt a bit of racism in the air by the looks and the treatment we got. Customer service is key, and all customers despite their colour should be treated and greeted the same.

Went here with my boyfriend yesterday and the food was so good! I had a carbonara which was amazing. My boyfriend ordered pasta cordon bleu thinking that cordon meant carbonara ♀️, and he unfortunately didn’t enjoy what it actually was, but the staff were so lovely and offered to make a different meal for him instead. The food was really good and the staff were so accommodating and understanding, so defintely recommend to others and will be coming here again!

I visit the restaurant fairly regularly. It’s can be busy and noisy at times, but the food is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s ideal for larger groups as well as a table for two!

It was a busy day, I think it was graduation at the university so there were many families in. So after a 30 minute wait for a table, we decided it was worth it. Mostly ordered pasta dishes with various sides… and I would say all were good and a couple were excellent. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was great.
I think the old fella was the owner, but I’m not sure. He came across a little dismissive and confused, but we’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and put that down to how busy it was.
Star of the show was our waiter, a Sri Lankan guy who was just so courteous and attentive even though he was so busy. Honestly I’m not sure how he did it as he has a few tables to attend to.
The only thing that let this place down was the space, there was nowhere really to wait for our table as there wasn’t really any bar space. So we had to wait outside in the rain. So bad first impressions but they did make up for it.

We visited this cozy restaurant for pasta and steak and had a wonderful time. Even though we walked in without a reservation and were a group of around 10 people, the wait was surprisingly short. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for gathering with friends or family. The pasta and steak dishes were enjoyable comforting and satisfying, though not overly fancy. A lovely place to relax, share good food, and soak in the pleasant vibes!

Went on a Saturday night and had to book a week in advance. We were a couple of minutes late but there was a table ready and waiting for us. For 5 people all having 2 or 3 courses, we were served and had paid in about 2 hours, which for a Saturday evening I think is quite good. Food was hot and delicious. For a first time visit, we will definitely be returning to this pasta restaurant in Plymouth in the future.
