You guys have the audacity to charge all this money for hibachi and make everybody who doesn’t eat hibachi, eat hibachi when someone is scheduling for an event. Not all kids that come to a hibachi meal, want to eat hibachi and you guys shouldn’t be forcing kids to eat hibachi if they want to just eat sushi instead.
I say all this to say this, I booked my daughter a reservation at Kumo’s Japanese steakhouse on Dani Drive for her birthday and we hated it. And the pictures that I am posting, there needs to be something done about this, if the bathroom looks like this, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like!!
Yo guys don’t care about your customer’s health, you care only about a Buck$
The hibachi show was fun, entertaining, and perfect for a family night out. Our chef was super friendly and skilled — the fire show and tricks made the whole table laugh. The food was delicious: the steak was tender, the shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the fried rice was amazing. Portions were generous and everything came out fresh and hot.
The staff were welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the service was fast even though the restaurant was busy. The sushi was also very fresh and beautifully presented.
Overall, a great place for birthdays, celebrations, or just a fun dinner. Highly recommend! Definitely a 5-star experience!
I ordered a glass of red wine and my sister & son got sprites. When they got their sprites, we were immediately disappointed because it tasted like mildew. It was so gross. So, they switched it out for a coke which still tasted gross but not as Bad. My water tasted like it was pulled straight from the lake. Actually, I believe lake water tastes better. I asked the server if she had bottled beer because my wine tasted like the bottle of red wine had been sitting open for a week. At that point I was grossed out and didn’t want to drink anything that was not bottled.
I received my sushi, soup, and salad as the cook was coming out, so again felt rushed. ALL THREE of our salads were sitting in a large puddle of water. I showed my server my Groupon AND told her it was my sisters sweet 16 and she asked to come here for her birthday. She said yes I got it. WELL, she did NOTHING for her birthday.
“The chef,” supplied NO entertainment! We are frequent visitors of hibachi, so we are familiar with how it works. The chef usually entertains, just as the chef at the table next to us was doing! I usually have sake and the chefs usually do lemonade for my son. We had none of that. I had to Ask about the sake because I saw it at the other table. He says he does it at the end. I had sake at the end before he walked away and half of the shot was air because the bottle was empty.
This was by FAR the worst hibachi I have ever had. This started when walking in the door, the service, the chef, NO MANAGER on duty.
Kumo was actually somewhere a family member recommended while we were here on vacation AND a place we’d frequent back home. But I will be sure it is never recommended again.
UPDATE: 12/11- No manager on 12/10, so they were supposed to call me the next day. Never called. Therefore I called around 2pm on 12/11 I was offered a gift card 10 times, disregarding me telling him EACH time I do not live here! Then, after continuously telling him no to that he FINALLY offered to take care of 20% of my bill. However, he wanted me to drive back to the location, 1 hour away, to insert my card and get $20 refunded. I thanked him for his time & let him know that it would be a waste of my time and gas and another inconvenience for me to drive back there for $20. He was so lost and did not know what to do. Worst customer service ever.
