We have gone to The Keg many times here in Brandon. It is always a great experience. The food is consistently terrific.
We just had dinner there tonight on New Year’s Eve to celebrate our anniversary. I don’t know what it was about tonight’s dinner, but they raised the bar for a tasty, quality meal even higher. The bread was fresh, warm, and it had just the right amount of crispness on the outside. The honey glazed salmon was done to perfection and the garlic mashed potatoes were the best I ever had.
Kudos to the chef!

Pretty consistent at the keg. Mushroom Neptune, bacon wrapped scallops, baseball sirloin with a twice baked, and Billy minor pie are much the usual.

We had an amazing meal last evening. The food was hot and flavourful and everyone’s steaks cooked perfectly. We were a large party and had two servers and they were top notch! They were so kind and attentive. It was another great night at the Keg!

First time here and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the salmon with honey glaze and mashed garlic potatoes and it was delicious! Also tried the Lobster bisque and that was perfect – not too salty. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend as one of the best places to eat in Brandon!

A truly ‘safe bet’ for a great meal. The restaurant was busy but not packed (that’s a good thing). Very clean. Excellent staff and service. Our waitress (Jocelyn) was attentive and had a great sense of humor.
We were there during their Summer Lobster special menu. The lobster bisque was possibly the best I’ve ever tasted. Everyone had a steak combo and all were very good (as you’d expect).
Dessert was a shared ‘Billy Miner pie’ and strongly suggest saving room for this (best to share…it’s quite generous).
Lots of parking and clean washrooms.

Had a birthday/reunion with two other friends last evening. Food was very good. Service was terrible. The evening manager even came out to apologize (not sure how she found out because we didn’t ask for her) so obviously it was another employee who saw we were getting the service we should. Disappointing for sure and therefore our tips (or lack of reflected this). If you’re going to work in the service industry, you need to be prepared to provide the experience for your paying clients. That being said there was absolutely no compensation for apology we received. But my chilien seabass was great!

Some mistakes were in the foods we ordered. But they know how to fix it. Mojito had withered mint. I complained and they replaced to other beverage immediately. I ordered medium teriyaki sirloin but it overcooked. They re-serve it and let me check it in front him. When we figure out it too undercooked, they didn’t hesitate to serve it again. Even though It was not good experience on my anniversary, it didn’t ruined my day becuase they offered free dessert for anniversary and apologized politely. When I paid the bill I realized they didn’t charge for my steak. It was disappointing about the food but very impressive on thier the service.
Definitely I’m willing to visit next time. All servers were friendly especially my server. I appreciate to his service.

We waited an extremely long time to be seated. When we first checked in, the host told us that people were just finishing up and it would only be a few minutes. We ended up waiting almost half an hour. When I asked again, he said “another 5 minutes,” even though he had already told us that same thing 30 minutes earlier. The lack of honesty and communication was very frustrating. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won’t be going back.

Maybe The Keg isn’t somewhere you’d think to go for good wings, but you’d be mistaken! The Three Pepper Wings are only on their bar menu and not always available. I had the chance to try them a week or so ago and was not disappointed. The chicken was crispy and without all of the fat that some wings can have. They were served with what I’m assuming was a three pepper sauce, which was a mild heat but gave a good kick at times, along with a light blue cheese dressing. There were plenty of blue cheese crumbles on top. I thought the sliced celery was a nice touch because it was incorporated into the dish rather than an afterthought on the side. It’s a great dish for those who want to take “wings with a side of blue cheese” to the next level! -1 because I think $17 for 8 wings is expensive, but still something that I’d want to order every so often.
UPDATE: I highly recommend the Prime Rib Sandwich as an alternative to the traditional dinner menu items — it’s less spendy and just as tasty! The tender meat, strong horseradish (it’s the best at The Keg), and generous portion of red wine herb jus were all very flavourful. I substituted a Caesar salad instead of fries at no additional cost. It’s only $16 during cocktail hour on the bar side. I’ll be going back for it again very soon!
