As I have stated I am very hard at giving five stars on anything that I review. Bombay gets a five star in my opinion. The food in a buffet was wonderful giving us a chance to taste a variety of foods. It was all so very good. The garlic naan was very tasty. Got to meet the chef and he was so pleasant to get to meet. The only downside bit is was minor was our waitress seemed distant and did not smile at all. Please go to this locally owned restaurant and try some very good true Indian food.

VERDICT: Best butter chicken as of May 2025. The Tika Masala runs with the best but not crowned king of the Masalas.
FOOD: I’ve always liked butter chicken, but this place had the best I’ve had in the Valley. The chicken was tender, juicy, and the butter chicken sauce complex and blooms when topping rice. Their rice, tika masala, Naan, etc. were all good, running with some of the best even, but their butter chicken is what I would send someone there for.
SERVICE: No complaints. Great service that was prompt and helpful, while personable.
ATMOSPHERE: Clean and quiet. The decor was pleasant and not leaning on Indian culture to the point of caricature, yet maintaining its presence. A very pleasant atmosphere overall.

A gem here in Boise. I love the gluten free options including gluten free naan. I had the lunch buffet so I got to try everything and there are no misses! I thoroughly enjoyed everything, my favorites included the saag paneer and lamb vindaloo. Unlimited chai is such a bonus and so delicious! Also, excellent service for a lunch buffet!

Outstanding experience. Buffet has something for everyone. The mixed vegetables tasted very authentic. Fresh naan is a nice touch. Staff is super nice, and service is great.
Butter chicken is made too sweet, chef must be adding some sugar, this is supposed to be a savory dish. But Madras chicken and the lamb were great.

Excellent culinary experience at this location in Boise.
The meal options are appreciated. The prices are nice. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Seats are available even during the busy lunch time. Parking is on the side of the building.
Very well recommended.

We had an incredible experience at Bombay Grill Indian Restaurant! The all-you-can-eat buffet offered a fantastic selection of authentic Indian dishes, each one bursting with rich flavors and perfectly balanced spices. Every bite was delicious, and you could truly taste the authenticity in every dish.
The service was outstanding—the staff was extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the restaurant had a great vibe.
And to top it all off, the price was very reasonable, making it an excellent value for such high-quality food. If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine in a friendly setting, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Our server, Karman was AMAZING! All of our food came out so fast and everything was delicious. We are visiting from Florida and will definitely be back to Bombay Grill if we’re ever in Florida again.

We recently visited Bombay Grill and ordered the chicken curry with naan, requesting it to be spicy. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Despite specifically asking for spice, the curry was bland and lacked depth in flavor. The consistency was very watery—more like turmeric-infused water than a proper curry. The dish had no richness or authentic taste, and overall, it was one of the most underwhelming Indian meals we’ve had. The naan was okay, but the curry left us very dissatisfied. Would not recommend for anyone expecting flavorful or well-prepared Indian food.

We always love Bombay, it’s the best indian in town. Butter chicken, tikka misala, and kashmiri naan being our regular order. We tried the buffet the other day, which had their lamb curry and it was AMAZING. so soft and tender. service is always so good, they’re sweet ppl. all of their veggie dishes at the buffet were incredible. 10/10, worth a stop, even if just driving through town or getting delivery.
