I’m very disappointed with Busken’s! I currently live in Dallas and was bragging to my coworkers about the infamous Schnecken from Virginia Bakery. I assumed they were previously frozen because they were extremely dry! I ordered 2 and another cake with the Holiday bundle! All 3 were dry and the microwave was a little help except the ends, which the microwave couldn’t soften them. If I’d known they’d arrive like this, I would have picked one up when I was home for Thanksgiving! My coworkers still thought it was good AFTER being the microwave for 20 seconds.
The other items were fresh and enjoyable but the Schneckens weren’t! Consider shipping them frozen.

I emailed Busken’s and was contacted by Dan. He explained what happened and replaced the bad Schneckens! When I received the replacements, I couldn’t wait to warm up a slice and it was just like I remembered! Thank you Dan for the explanation and the quick resolution. I knew Busken’s cared about their customers and products!

I ordered 2 birthday cakes for my two sons 2 weeks apart and they were both phenomenal. (Mickey and lightning McQueen) The decorators are fantastic and the staff are all so sweet and welcoming. I will forever order their birthday cakes from the Hyde park location. ❤️ best bakery in town by far.

I recently had an issue with the quality of a product i was ordering and contacted Nicky on their corporate line through email and she immediately contacted me and was extremely understanding and helpful in getting this issue resolved. I also recieved a follow up call by Tina the next day and, again, was very grateful for the way they handled my situation.

Definitely, SHOULD NOT BE MISSED if you are visiting Cincinnati. This place surely makes one of the best, if not best, donuts in the area.
It is a 24 hours bakery but the best time would be during the day when the items are absolutely fresh and you see more options as well. The peculiarity about the donuts and other bakery items here is that aesthetically they are not at all appealing, except for few. However, in terms of taste, they are absolutely delicious. Their Old Fashioned donut is definitely to be tried. Apart from that, we tried few other items like Coconut Danish, Samoa donut and muffins like the Zucchini Nut and Applesauce Raisin. We have tried danish at many places but this Coconut Danish is the first danish we actually liked. Samoa donut was amazing and the toasted coconut was giving a very good crunch to the donut. While Zucchini Nut was great, Applesauce Raisin had a heavy flavor of cinnamon which kind of shielded the other ingredients. It was also slightly more on the gooey side.
In general, for the donuts, they are just in a perfect balance – not so crumbly that it breaks and not so gooey that you have a hard time breaking it properly.
However, I am not a fan of their coffee. You won’t miss anything if you skip it.
We love this place, especially for the kind of amazing donuts they make, keeping aside the aesthetics, and a great price. Most of the donuts are between $2-$3. So, you can try many donuts under $10 which is always great to know.

I love that this location is open on Mondays! Busken’s Plain Danish is my husband’s favorite pastry, and they often sell out early in the AM. I wanted to surprise him with some before he has a long week, and this location was open on Mondays. The employee who helped me was so warm & kind. A great way to start the week!

Love Busken, miss the old 24hr deal. I work nights and used to get doughnuts when I got off work around 2-4am was one of the best parts. Unfortunately their hours have been cut drastically since covid im sure just staffing problems like most places. Still sad to see.

My first visit here so they gave me a free yummy donut! We can for cookies but their Halloween cakes and petit fours were so cute we bought some of those too. Definitely recommend.
