Waiting for over 25 minutes for 2 breakfast sandwiches and I was the only in store customer. Got into my vehicle and drove 8 minutes out of town to realize my oder was completely wrong. Every Burger King I have visited in the past 10 years has been a out right displeasure and a obvious poor choice. Dirty,unmanaged, disgrace, and a disappointment from when it was a exciting and fulfilling trip from the past. NEVER AGAIN

This review is regarding the Burger King location in Ponderay, Idaho, and a recurring operational issue that needs immediate attention from the franchise owner and corporate management.
On three separate occasions, this location has locked the lobby doors approximately an hour and a half before the posted closing time. Employees have stood inside looking at customers but refused to open the doors despite the restaurant still being listed as open.
When attempting to order through the drive-thru instead, the experience is even worse. Staff claimed they were “out of patties” at a burger restaurant, then said no sides were available, and that the drink machines were broken.
These explanations have happened more than once, which suggests the kitchen is being shut down early rather than operating during the advertised hours.
This is not a minor inconvenience — it’s a failure to operate within the posted business hours and basic franchise standards. Customers depend on those hours, especially people like myself who are getting off late work shifts and looking for a quick meal.
If the store cannot operate until its posted closing time, then the hours need to be changed. Otherwise, customers are being misled. If employees or management are closing early to leave sooner, that reflects poorly on the franchise owner and the Burger King brand as a whole.
This issue will also be reported directly to Burger King corporate so they are aware that this location is not consistently operating within its stated hours.

We went thru the drive thru recently and purchased chicken sandwiches for the road trip. After about 10 min of driving and and a couple of bites, I noticed mold on my bread. I called to let the manager know they needed to check their bread. No one has had the decency to call me back (now 6 days later). Disappointing and gross!

Amazing location always get my complicated burgers right. Friendly staff and fast service. One of my favorite locations. Even have a tabke inside dedicated to ponderay’s ex chief of police from 97-16.

This is a nice clean restaurant with a closed off childrens play area. I have visited here many times over the years and have always found the food good and well prepared, but the service can be a little slow. They seem to be doing a fair amount of app orders, so this would be your best option to have the food ready when you arrive. If you don’t pre-order it could take 10 to 15 minutes to get your order if they are busy.

Normally real good. Today fries were super cold, no carbonation in the Dr. Pepper, and food was not rang up the way I ordered it. They charged us for cheese on double burger buy only put cheese on one of the burgers. Upon going to question cashier, she looked clueless as to what I was talking about. We were only ones in restaurant and they did not bring to table lime normal.

Terrible food – every bun , stale and can be. Tots? Stale. Just bad. I would also love to hear from the manager if it is deemed appropriate by corporate to have a DIY tip jar outside the DRIVE THRU WINDOW ?!? Very off putting.

While waiting for a delayed grocery order, we decided to pop in for slurpies in the play area to kill some time.
It happened to be my daughter’s birthday and when one employee heard, she ran to bring her a huge vanilla ice cream cone with nerds sprinkles and sang her Happy Birthday. She ran back and forth to bring each kid their free cone (6 kids) and made our experience so special.
Her name is Joy and that’s exactly what she brought to our day. All the employees were friendly, patient and went above and beyond for the customers while we were there. Thank you Joy and the Ponderay location! You guys are a fabulous crew ❤️

This was the BEST example I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I’m not joking! The food and employees were amazing and it was so clean and a fun atmosphere. Garret (one of the managers) should definitely get a raise! He was so good and got my burger out in like 2 minutes. I would go back everyday if I was rich!
