Housed in The Historic Fowle building (c. 1818), The Mulberry House is named for one of the first buildings built in the city, the Mulberry Tavern. For more than half a century the tavern provided food, drink and lodging for locals and travelers alike. New owners have done an outstanding job!! Place is so appealing and comfortable!! Food was amazing. The crab cake burger was delicious and the potato side was perfect. Their red Irish ale was very good. The cheese cake is an absolute must to end the meal on the highest possible note.
Located just off the river there is rear porch seating and rooftop – too cold for us to enjoy either. Great river walk and nice park nearby for the kids.
Our server, LaTanya, was very attentive and helpful.

I came here on a Saturday for my birthday and had a great time! Our server, Caitlin, was so sweet and awesome, she really enhanced our experience. All the food was great, but we especially loved the brussels sprout appetizer, I literally licked the bowl. Hands down the best brussels sprouts I’ve ever had.
We arrived at 6:30 and were seated immediately, our food and drinks came out quickly, and we didn’t feel rushed to leave even though we were there right up until closing time.

We didn’t do the reservation like everybody for Valentine’s Day. Tables weren’t available so we accept the offer to stay at the bar! Best decision ever!!!!!!
We met Sarah and Julie, we laughed a lot with them and received excellent service!!
Pics on the website about the food don’t show all of the passion and the quality of the place: elegant professional cordial. A perfect hang out!!!!!

We were here at Christmastime 2025– great cocktails (generous on the liquor) and the food was good. Spinach dip appetizer is excellent — whatever they do to the pita bread is so tasty!

Visiting from AZ, and my wife and I stumbled upon this little gem, and I’m so glad that we did! Huge shoutout to Julie our server for being so awesome and helpful! I had the salmon with couscous, my wife had the butter chicken, and both were amazing! Highly recommend, and I hope to return before heading back to AZ!

Recently under new management, this restaurant is better than ever!! On many counts, the new owners have listened to what the patrons have suggested. The new paint and art scheme is lovely. The menu has kept the best of the best while adding several delicious dishes in all categories! We have patronized this restaurant since day one, and ALL the staff is constantly great! If you have not tried this establishment, had a disappointing experience, or have not been back in a while. Come on back and enjoy the new and improved Mulberry! Your taste buds will thank you!

Love the new menu! Was apprehensive about meatballs and grits but man was it good. We e been coming here for a few years now and have always enjoyed the place. The new owners have put in a lot of work to make it theirs and we will definitely continue coming back. The cocktails were fantastic as well. I had the smoked old fashioned and it was great, sweet and smoky. Our server Melanie was great, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.

We ate at the bar with Julie. She was great and has a wonderful personality! We also met Sara and Latonia, all gave us advice on what was good and they were all correct! The Mulberry House is fortunate to have team members that create such an enjoyable experience in addition to the delicious food. We had great draft beers, the lunch trio, soup sandwich and salad, and the Lemon Tiramisu!
