Stood in line for about 15 minutes to buy a dozen tamales. A bit pricey but meh. Got home. Tamales were lukewarm. Tasty but the masa seemed under cooked. Tamales fell apart easily. Won’t be going back. For that price?! Nope.

Had to take all the meat out of the menudo in order to eat just the soup and hominy. Cheap cut of menudo makes for a slimy and chewy meat that isn’t edible or enjoyable. Carnitas were under seasoned, dry, and in shreds. I do not recommend either. The barbacoa was okay but also under seasoned. Everything was so expensive! Overall not a good spot for your Sunday morning cravings.

The food is very tasty, it is home style. It reminds me of the Mexican food my mother used to prepare when we were young. The restaurant is always clean, and the atmosphere is good . This was one of my late father’s favorite Mexican restaurants. Thank you, Familia Tellez, and keep up the good work

Very disappointing experience. The food came out cold, and the tortillas weren’t even warmed—literally straight from the package. For a Mexican restaurant, warm tortillas are the bare minimum. Cold food and cold tortillas completely ruin the meal. It felt rushed and careless, like no attention was paid to quality or presentation. I expected much better and won’t be returning.

Tellez is a staple in the community and has always been delicious! We usually get the early bird special and add tamales with a big red. I havent tried one thing that I didnt like.

Me and my family get tamales and Barbacoa from here all the time. To me they have the best Barbacoa and pork tamales. Add a pack of nice soft flour tortillas and big red your Sunday is golden. Brenda is very awesome and she she goes above and beyond to get everybody in and out with no problems.

I went to this place for the first time, bought a half dozen of the pork tamales. The tamales were awful, they didn’t have much meat in them. they were not cooked all the way. i forced myself to eat three of them.and at thatI got sick. My stomach has been hurting since then, it’s freaking sore .

Heart is in this food!! We had Menudo, Carne Asada, Carne Guisada, Chicken Mole, Tamales, Barbacoa, Chicharrones and Sweet Tea!! Everything and I mean everything was so delicious!! We love trying several different dishes everywhere we go and even the refried beans were delicious! Don’t hesitate just walk right in and grab some breakfast or lunch!
