Amayah was the sweetest waitress! She was so attentive and made great suggestions. We got the mini burgers and the jerk chicken pizza and both were delicious. The burgers were perfectly made and the pizza had the perfect amount of heat. I love that all their chicken and beef are halal – including the steaks! Need to come back to try their desserts and brunch.

Yum! I was walking around the area and decided to stop by. I’m not sure when the last time I had been to a Matchbox but this was a good decision. The hostesses took care of me and didn’t just place me at the bar just because I was solo. The high top around the bar was perfect and the bartender/server immediately greeted me and took care of me. The fact that they carry Nearest Green whiskey is a huge bonus in my book. Food was great, service was excellent. Atmosphere was just what I needed.

Our server, Jose was amazing! I participated in a brunch meet up with a friend for the Montgomery County Crew and we had a sizeable party. Jose was very knowledgeable, patient, and overall excellent as he served our large party. I hope to have him as a server again the next time that I visit this Matchbox location.

I visited Matchbox last night with coworkers for a team dinner. The service was strong. Our server managed a large group with ease and kept drinks flowing with solid pours throughout the night.
The space is very casual and relaxed. Plenty of TVs make it a good spot to unwind after a long day.
Two areas could use improvement. The dining room was noticeably warm, so plan to dress in layers. The food was decent but underwhelming. I ordered the shrimp and crab pasta. The shrimp was overcooked, and the “crab” felt more like a flavor than an ingredient. There was very little actual crab in my dish and in a coworker’s as well.
Overall, not a bad experience. With better temperature control and more attention to flavor and ingredient quality, it could be much better.

Went last week and had a really great exprience! The atmoshphere was modern and the food came out in a timely manner and was fresh. Our server, Stefany, was amazing! super attentive and friendly, and made sure that everything was going perfectly for us! Will definitely be coming back!

We visited this location for our Valentine’s Day weekend trip (Sunday). Upon arrived it took ofer 30 mins to just get started with drinks. That being water alone, during our visit we only had 1 drink due to the lack of service. No bother to ask for refills, everyone just kept passing by. Once our food was served we had no silverware, again we had to wait about 10 mins to get anyone’s attention. My husband had to go ask the host. To get our check took another 30-45 min, and to get our to go boxes. And for the cherry on top, when we left and I opened my to go box for a quick bite of my waffles we noticed black strand of hair on our chicken. I have hot red hair, was truly a downer. I think with improvement of staffing and more support the location might do better with customer experience. Something as little as serving water goes a long way.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely poor, and the overall cleanliness of the establishment was concerning. The kitchen appeared dirty, and the bathrooms were not properly sanitized.
I also noticed that staff members, including the chef, were not practicing proper hand hygiene. This is very concerning for a place that prepares food. The chef was also standing around socializing with friends and giving them free food instead of focusing on customers.
Unfortunately, I became sick the day after eating here, which makes me question the food safety standards at this restaurant. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that management improve cleanliness, enforce proper hand hygiene, and focus on providing better service to customers.
