Amazing, the salsa will set your mouth on fire most times, the waiters are kind, and the food is amazing! Nice Mexican music is playing in the background causing an overall lovely atmosphere.

The food is amazing, from the chips and salsa to the enchiladas and rice, all the food was some of the best we’ve had in a long time. Unfortunately the huge let down from the evening was the service, we felt basically ignored while the two tables beside us got served by the same waitress and what should have been a 40 minute dinner took over an hour and a half while all the other wait staff were in and out of the dining room taking care of their customers constantly. We will likely be back but only for take-out if available due to the lack of service.

How have zip driven past this place for 42+ years and never stopped before today? This is my new favorite Tex-Mex in Texas! The service was awesome. We were there toward the end of the lunch rush and our server was literally running her legs off to ensure we were taken care of. The lunch beef tacos were very tasty and the charro beans and rice were delicious as well. The iced tea was more than just brown water and didn’t cost $4 like at most places these days. The salsa was absolutely outstanding. It was a cold salsa ( my preference) and, IMHO, the best I have ever had in East Texas. This certainly won’t be my last visit, Good Lord willing and the Creek don’t rise!

I’m only rating this a 1 star because the hostess did recognize us being present. Went to Ochoa’s to eat the evening of 02/07. Finally greeted by the hostess. Requested a booth. I saw the booth when it became available so we’re still waiting to go get seated there. Hostess come back, takes a couple to a table. Before sitting at table, she takes them to the booth that should have been ours!!!!! Hostess comes back and my friend asks ,”so you’re just going to give our booth away like we haven’t been sitting here waiting??” You knew we were waiting. All she could say was I’m sorry. At point, I’m not waiting to eat or hear any other excuses like we didn’t matter, so we left. They didn’t care to make it right as the Manager was at the register, heard everything.

We were seated as soon as we walked in . The guacamole and hot sauce was spot on. Our server was very pleasant. We each ordered a different entrée and all were good .

You’ll love the fajitas here! Everyone working there takes great care of you, and Mari makes us feel like family. This is my favorite place to eat, and I’ve lived all over the US, you won’t find better. Love Ochoa’s!! ❤️

I’ve always had bad experiences at Ochoa’s. However, I decided to give them another try. We were sat in the corner and watched other people sat after us. They received drinks, chips and salsa. All while we just sat there trying to figure out who our waitress was. Finally, I went and spoke to the hostess who went looking for our waitress. I sat back down and waited. After another 5 minutes my wife and I got up to leave. As I was leaving, I spoke the manager who said he heard the situation. In which I wondered why he didn’t try to resolve the issue and instead did nothing. I would not recommend this place unless you like horrible service and average food.

Tortilla Soup, among many other menu items are as always just consistently the best. Love it!! The Owners and/or employees always kind and super friendly. I have been eating at Ochoa’s for many years. Oh my, I almost forgot the Chips and Salsa…GREAT!!!

The salsa is FREAKING AMAZING! The tacos are fabulous but wasn’t happy this last time with my sour cream chicken enchiladas, chicken was really dark and didn’t taste right! But, I will still say this is a great place to eat waitress was also a manager and she was great! If nothing else THE SALSA IS A MUST GO TASTE! CHEESE DIP IS GREAT TOO
