I cannot hype up the Dutch baby enough at the Original Pancake house!

This place was absolutely packed, but the wait was very short, less than 10 minutes. Parking is also pretty easy.
Staff are incredibly nice and easy going, even in the midst of so many people. The coffee comes in a special mug which just feels like extra care. We were not prepared for how much food came! My husband got the blueberry pancakes and 6 came out with extra blueberry compote! The price is unbeatable. The batter is so classic and delicious! Definitely a breakfast gem for Bend!

Waffles were amazing! The corn beef hash was a bit off. Other than that everything was perfect.

This is great little breakfast spot! They were super quick and efficient. Despite the restaurant appearing completely full, we hardly had a wait and were served very quickly. It has a very cute, old-timey diner feel. Our server Ivan was attentive and kind. My son had the banana pancakes and said they were the best he’s ever had! 10/10 would recommend.

Warm friendly homelike atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food, way more than we could eat! Would definitely eat there again.

disappointment regarding the service I received during my visit this past Monday.

I have been a loyal customer for years and was excited to bring my out-of-state family to your restaurant. However, we felt rushed throughout the entire experience, from ordering to the moment the bill was brought to the table while we were still eating. Furthermore, our server was neither friendly nor welcoming.

When I requested a cup of hot water to warm a baby bottle, I was charged the price of a coffee without being informed of an additional fee. Additionally, the server did not offer any refills for our beverages and simply took the cups away.

This was my worst experience at the Pancake House and, unfortunately, I do not plan on returning.

Its very much OK. That’s all, it’s OK.

I’ve tried the other locations in California but they all are just fine. Nothing to write home to mom about.

I can tell this is a beloved location, the people here (prominent demographic) love this type of American style breakfast and I’m so here for it. I would say the pancake are delicious, very buttery and yummy. However what is up with the omelette. Its like they used carton egg and added water to it because it was super weird. The gravy all smothered it and it had a terrible consistency. The price for the food was not it, absolutely sucked but it’s all good. Still had some brekkies so the complaints not bad

Would I wait to eat here? No.

While on my travels I stopped in here at The Original Pancake House looking for a great breakfast to have as I love Breakfast!!!!

I will say I do not eat eggs or meat yet I will endulge in a panacake or two or six!!!!

When pulling it was a bit busy however I do not mind waiting to The Original Panacake house that I have been excited to try for a while. When looking up Bend, Oregon this restraunt was the first to appear and thats mostlikely because Google knows I love breakfast with all the food reviews that I have done.

I was greeted by two amazing women who where kind and gave off such amazing Vibes!!!!

Jenny and Dusty have a part of my heart forever!

There was a 25 minute wait yet the wait was so worth it!!!

Once my name was called “Kristopher with a K” my Heart melted!!!!

I came running in because I did not want to miss my spot!!!

Sat as soon as I came in with water waiting at the table for me which I LOVED!!!!

Such a beautiful place from the design to the staff to the food!

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture of it when it came out I was overwhelmed with Joy and Happiness from the smells.

Today I ordered:

Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice $3.50 for the small
The color was perfect with pulp you could smell and taste the freshness!

Hawaiian Panackes $12.75
Fresh buttermilk panacakes filled with crushed pineapple and lightly dusted with powered sugar.
Served with whipped butter and hot tropical syrup with a total of 860 calories

Potatoes $4.00
Fresh Fried house potatoes that are NOT I Repeat NOT Hashbrowns!!!!!!
Side note I love house potatoes over hashbrowns.
They are not seasoned so you will need to add some salt pepper and one of the many choices of sauses availble.
Tabasco (Green and Red)
Tabasco (Chipolte)
Tapatio
Cholula
Ketchup

The orange juice was so fresh and the color was dark as it should be and NO Sugar added! I LOVED the Orange Juice!!!

The potates where perfectly cooked with some crispy parts which made for the perfect crunch to soft ratio.
I did add some salt and pepper as well as did a bit of all the sauces around the plate to have a taste of each.

Let me tell you about these Hawaiian Panacakes…
You do not really need syrup to eat these, they are soft fluffy and made to perfection.

Every bite has pineapple and each bite brought joy to my pallet. My taste buds where in such a delightful state with every bite.
I did try them with the Hot Tropical Syrup which is a fruit blend made in house… I will not share that secret as it is an inhouse receipe. SOOOOOO GOOD!
It was like eating the best piece of pineapple cottoncandy panackas you can ever imagine.
That is the only way for me to explain how the syrup and the panacakes taste together.
I also tried with the regular syrup and my choice over all is the hot tropical syrup.

I am so pleased at not only my experience and interaction with everyone I am just taken away at how amazing the food is.

Overall if I was able to give them 10 Starz I would!

The cleaniness of the restraunt is 10/10
The restroom is 10/10
The dishes that food served on 10/10

Everything is way above par by far!!!!

The interior has dishes lining the tops of the molding which gives such an equiste look and feel to the place.

They also have an indoor fire place which is just so cool!

Overall I recommend without a doubt stopping into The Original Pancake House in Bend Oregon, wether you are a local or a passing through.

So worth the wait my mouth is extremely grateful!

Thank you again for The Traveling Truck Show!

This is one of the Best Original Pancake Houses I’ve eaten in. Although it was Saturday at lunchtime and they were busy I was greeted promptly. Seated shortly after. I was given enough time to review the menu and decide, but I didn’t have to wait to have my order taken. The server was attentive. The bus staff were prompt, efficient, and quiet in their tasks but tables were never left un-bussed while I was here, but no one was ever rushed to leave. The food was EXCELLENT and although there is a wait to get your food because it is cooked to order, the wait was NOT excessive. The coffee was strong, but not bitter. I enjoyed my meal very much. This Pancake House may be a little off the beaten path, it’s near Riverbend Park, it’s well worth the detour. And although I would have probably been able to park in their parking lot if they weren’t busy there was enough street parking long enough for me I wouldn’t even try. I will definitely be coming back every chance I get.

Unfortunately, our local pancake house closed. So we make it a point when we’re in Bend to go to their location. Always a great breakfast and very good service. In fact, during the four days we were there we went twice. Another great meal. Went twice while in Bend.

This place was perfect for us! We had a large group of 14 and even with a group of that size and a packed restaurant on a Sunday morning the wait was still not too bad. Was very clean and the service was AMAZING! We did have a few different servers helping us and they were all very nice and upbeat. The prices seemed a little high but they made sense when the food came out and we saw how big the portions were (everything comes with its own plate of pancakes). I ordered side items instead and it was the perfect amount instead of a full meal. Would absolutely eat here again!
