First off, our server, I’m sorry I can’t remember her name was incredible. We had dinner this past Friday night at 7:30. There was a decent crowd, great lighting! We ordered drinks, appetizers and pizzas. Everything was really good! We ordered aroncini, meatballs and 2 different pizzas! The pizzas (OMG the crust is delicious) everything was fresh and hot! The meatballs were melt in your mouth delicious, we did wish they were a bit bigger though. We will definitely be back!

The interior of Trattoria Vesso has a very nice vibe, and the staff were welcoming. Our server in particular was excellent — very nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and truly hospitable, which made the experience much better.
The appetizers were a highlight — the halloumi sticks and the cheese balls with marinara and pesto were really tasty. The pastas were quite decent and enjoyable overall. Unfortunately, the pizzas were disappointing. While I understand Italian pizzas usually have some light charring for flavor, these were unevenly cooked — the outer crusts were very burnt and black, while the centers were undercooked. The burnt flavor was overwhelming and took away from the taste. We were able to finish the Mediterranean pizza, but both had the same issue.
Another downside was the timing: about 30 minutes between appetizers and mains.
Overall, the atmosphere, appetizers, and service were excellent, but the pizzas need more consistency, and some of the dishes could use more balance in flavor.

Had an amazing experience at Trattoria Vesso in Halifax. The ingredients speak for themselves, fresh, high-quality, and full of flavour, from the dough to the toppings. You can really taste the difference. The staff were equally impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A simple, honest meal made exceptional by great people and great ingredients. Will definitely be back.

Friendly staff, quality service and food. I enjoyed their Margherita pizza and a delicious dessert they had (A little pricey though). Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to try their pistachio tiramisu, but they had one and that is my next if I pass by Halifax again:)

I had an incredible Birthday dinner at Trattorio Vesso last evening (February 28th) with my brother and niece. Having recently become gluten-free, I have found it challenging to find great pizza. Look no further, the pizza is incredible! So, if you are someone who can’t have gluten and adore pizza, this is a brilliant place to dine. Staff is lovely and incredibly accommodating, and everything on the menu is delicioso!

Yesterday I visited this wonderful place, the interior pleasantly surprised and pleased me, and the fact that they cook pizza here in a wood-fired oven caused delight. Regarding the food, it was delicious; I was with a group of friends and we ordered different dishes (including 3 different pizzas) it was delicious and cheesy.
I definitely want to come back here, and I am proud to recommend it

Right off the beaten path of downtown Halifax lays this gem of a pizza restaraunt. Delicious wood fired pizza with great quality ingredients. Great service all around, extremely quick and attentive servers, could not ask for much more from an establishment.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten in and I’ve been to many. The pizza is amazing. While we waited for our food, our grandson was given a pan with some pizza dough and a rolling pin to play with. He loved it. What a great idea.
