We visited Cafe Mezzanotte for a family birthday gathering on a Sunday evening, right before the Ravens vs. Steelers game. We had a reservation for 13 people and were seated immediately, which was impressive given the timing.
Our waitress, Cat, was outstanding—she quickly offered drinks and appetizers, kept our water glasses full without being asked, and checked on us regularly. She was friendly, attentive, and truly helped make the evening special.
The food was spectacular. Cafe Mezzanotte offers a wonderful balance of gourmet dishes alongside child-friendly options. We started with complimentary artisan bread and dipping oil, which was amazing. For appetizers, we shared calamari (perfectly crispy with a unique and delicious sauce), venison carpaccio (delicate and flavorful), artichoke caprese (fresh and zesty), and the bison frico, which was my personal favorite—super flavorful and very filling.
For entrées, we ordered the bison brasare (a generous portion, cooked perfectly), filet mignon, and several pasta dishes, including their popular pappardelle mignon, which I highly recommend. The pasta was cooked al dente and soaked up every bit of the rich semi-glaze sauce.
Everything was beautifully plated and clearly prepared with passion and care. Highly recommend Cafe Mezzanotte for special occasions or a memorable night out!

Restaurant was busy so we sat at the lounge, where we got to order from the restaurant menu. Bread and sun dried tomato olive oil dip was really good. Don’t turn away due to the high prices, you can get 3 meals out of one based on these portions. The pasta was excellent.

Call me something of a snob about Italian food and the restaurants that serve it and thinking that only Little Italy has the best of the best. This restYour first restaurant provided one of the best eating experiences in my life and should not be overlooked. This was a great experience! Waiter was on top of things. Fresh bread served before the meal, so soft and delicious! Creamy pesto fettuccine was a really nice take on the traditional Alfredo. The mushroom risotto was not a bunch of mush – you could actually see all the ingredients. The almond dessert was incredible. Basically fancy ice cream sandwiches. Parking was accessible. My biggest issue was the table we were seated at. It was like an afterthought to squish a two seater by the wall. I had to awkwardly squeeze by the next table and felt like I had to keep my side up against the wall the whole time. As far as I can tell, only one table is like that. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Absolutely comical. I ordered the Avgolemono risotto dish on Nov 29th, which includes crispy chicken skin mixed in as a crunchy texture.
I chewed on five different small bones and informed the server that I didn’t just have one bone but five, and I was only halfway through the dish which I needed to save as leftovers. She apologized, but didn’t offer a free meal, free dessert, free anything, just an apology.
As I was walking out pretty frustrated, the manager thanked me for my business, and I asked him if he knew about my dish and he said yes, and that unfortunately, it “happens all the time” since the crispy chicken skin comes from the pheasant “which is hard to get the bones out.”
Why on earth would you have a dish where someone can choke on a small pheasant bone and not care at all?!?
I will absolutely never be dining here again due to my interaction with the server and the unapologetic manager. Just wild that this place is in business with this type of service.

If it was just for the service and the taste of the food alone, I’d still give 5 stars. But I have to emphasize and applaud the attention that this chef/owner gives to the QUALITY and transparency of menu items and the way the menu showcases that with clean, healthy, thoughtfully prepared dishes. I brought my mom here for her birthday (I don’t live in the area) and as I was looking at the menu, I was absolutely delighted to see the sourcing of ingredients listed at the bottom! Such an amazing touch to demonstrate the elevated experience you get at this restaurant. And then the service and the taste of the food obviously did NOT disappoint.

Super yummy food and always a nice atmosphere. Crowded but was managed very well for how many people were coming and going. Our server, Sabrina, was excellent. Food was hot and well seasoned. Have been a few times and keep coming back because it’s consistently good.

Went there on a Tuesday evening for restaurant week and it was extremely busy but we got a table right away. The service was excellent. The food was good and a little overly flavorful. We had the fried calamari appetizer and it was really tasty as was the mushroom cannoli.
