Named for a larger cut of meat, Double Cut is a contemporary steakhouse. The menu departs from a classic steakhouse without chasing away traditionalists. Menu items range from classic steaks and seafood to more exploratory seasonal menu items. One quality many menu items share is the distinctive flavor imparted by Double Cut’s charcoal grill. Double Cut Charcoal Grill and Liquor Bar is a signature dining experience where every detail is considered to transform you from the stresses of business and life. The décor is modern, but not pretentious. The ambiance is sophisticated yet comfortable. The staff is educated, but not showy.
Upscale steakhouse serving chops, seafood, pasta & cocktails in a modern, elegant space.

Food was actually good — no complaints there — but the experience ruined it.
Our server Cameron (not sure on spelling) tried way too hard and it came off uncomfortable instead of welcoming. Tone it down a bit… natural service goes a long way.
The bigger issue: our friends asked if we could move near the fire. We were told the area was “sold out” while the entire row by the bar was empty — yet minutes later a party of 6 was seated there. That makes customers feel lied to.
To top it off, after spending $313 we were told the resort is cashless when we attempted to pay with a gift card and cash. That information should be clearly communicated before the bill arrives — not after.
Good food can’t fix poor communication and inconsistent policies. Before I post this review publicly, I’d like to give you the opportunity to address it.
We spent $313 and were:
• told an empty section was “sold out” but then watched another party seated there
• surprised by a cashless policy at payment time
• experienced service that felt forced instead of comfortable
Please explain how you plan to correct these issues so future guests don’t have the same experience.
Because if you don’t corporate will hear from me.
However, the hostess was quite rude and abrupt. But Dianne and the manager were great!!
A very special thank you to Nina, our waitress, who was absolutely phenomenal. Her warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism truly elevated the entire evening. She anticipated our needs before we even asked and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. Nina is a star and deserves every bit of recognition for the way she goes above and beyond.
The manager was welcoming and ensured everything flowed seamlessly, while the chefs delivered dishes that were both stunning and delicious. Every plate was prepared with care and flavor that left us impressed.
Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone — and if you’re lucky enough to be served by Nina, you’ll see exactly why she made our night so memorable..
Without a litany of issues that nobody will read, the porterhouse cooked medium was cooked to exactly the right temperature. What they don’t tell you is that they have invented a miraculous technology to remove all actual meat or cooking flavor from the steak, unless you pay for an extra crust. This is billed as optional, but it’s mandatory if you want to taste anything. Seriously.
I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. Cooked well, a good piece of meat. I did opt for a sauce, the $5 chimichurri. Which means a small ramekin with 2 tbs of vinegar, a little oil, and what appears to be Italian seasoning found behind the fridge. The flavors were all wrong, but not atrocious.
Service gets a 2 because the overworked young woman serving us eventually managed to get us our food. It was our 10-year-old’s birthday, and they managed to switch the complimentary dessert to chocolate cake, as my kid despises cheesecake. They let us know that they would have to beg the chef, that they are in a mood, and that may make them refuse the change.
That they felt it was something to say to a customer left us agog. Just what? The appetizer was overpriced and rubbery, though we were told it was famous. The complimentary bread was doughy, and the knife provided to cut it was dull. It was a crumbly, garlicky mess.
The children at other tables with iPads and gadgets were unsurprising. The noise seemed to be amplified.
If this meal was at Applebee’s, I wouldn’t complain. The Google and Yelp and OpenTable reviews give the impression this place is gold. I think if we had gone to literally any steakhouse in town, any non-chain spot would have had better food, better ambiance and would have been an overall better experience.
