We make our dough from scratch, blend the cheeses, and prepare our own pizza sauce to make one of the best pizzas around. We also make in house our spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and many of our salad dressings. We have been in business since 1978 and have won many awards for our pizza.

I love the old decor and age of this building. We had the side salads with the house made Italian dressing which was really good. We ordered the better girl pizza. Deep dish pizza with fresh quality toppings. They definitely have their own take on pizza it’s not your traditional stuff. Its better than any of the chain pizza places out there. Plenty of cheese good sauce nice crunchy edges. Highly recommend.

The pizza was great! It was deep dish, which is exactly what I like. The mozzarella sticks were also good. I assume they can accommodate large crowds as there were many seats not being used. The restrooms were clean and our waiter was nice. There is also a railroad track that goes down the middle of the street in front of the restaurant so that’s interesting. Great experience and will be back!

Really enjoyed the service and meal. We visited here around 6 years ago after the longest yard sale trip. Food and service has not trailed off. We had pizza and mozzarella sticks.

Our waitress was very nice. The cleaner they use is ammonia based and causes the place to smell like urine after they wipe the tables down. I couldn’t get past the strong urine odor. It even made our drinks taste like cleaner. We ordered 2 small pizzas. This place has been recommended to me as one of the best pizza places around. I’ll base my review mainly on the food in that case. When the pizza came it was very bland. I mean it had barely any flavor at all. We ordered 2 different kinds, the artichoke pesto and a Supreme style pizza. They both tasted very flavorless and almost like they were pulled out of the freezer section of Walmart. We also got the appetizer sampler and the chicken was so dry that when we broke it in half it made an audible snap. We ate one slice each and decided this was not for us.

Great food and service. Ordered the Tomate’ Pizza 16″ and it was stacked. I could barely eat three slices. Big enough to serve 3-4 people. A limited amount of seating so expect a wait with a large party. Got there close to 6 on a Friday and waited about a hour for a table because two other large parties were there already. Got the sampler of mozzarella sticks,fried pickles, and fried jalapenos and they were good especially the fried jalapenos. Also got a Better Boy pizza and it was delicious too. 10/10 for food. The waitress kept our drinks full as best as she could since we all order tea she had to brew more.

This is written strictly as a buyer beware when ordering online**** We ordered a large pizza & 1 order of spaghetti online. We saw the price of the spaghetti online (almost $14.00) & was fine with it because it compares to other Italian restaurants in surrounding areas & those portions are always adequate for the price. We pickup our order & immediately open the bag, because it was extremely light & I thought something may be missing. Inside I saw a small piece of garlic bread wrapped in foil & the tin of spaghetti. I kid you not, the tin was between the size of a deck of cards & my husband’s short, square, basic fold wallet..& 2 inches deep….for $14.00. With our minds blown, my husband asked if this was the correct size we paid for or if we were missing a tin or 2??…”No, thats the size you get…but did you order the salad with it?” …to which my husband replied “No…it said salad was extra online…so my wife declined the salad”…the lady responded with “oh no, the salad comes with”… at this point my husband requested our money back for the spaghetti because no amount of a “side salad” could or ever will make up for the tiny portion size of the spaghetti. So if youre ordering online, beware before ordering anything other than pizza from this location.

Ordered a better boy pizza to go. It was just ok. The crust and toppings was not done. The crust was very doughy. Hardly warmed up. For the price I paid it was definitely was not up to par. Was disappointed. Always loved Matter pizzas.

I never had Maters before and I’ve been wanting to try it . Had it delivered from Door dash..The food was okay but they didn’t bring my Philly roast beef sandwich. I called and they said it wasn’t their problem.. I will never eat here again.
