There’s not much to say except you need to eat here. The chicken sandwich, it was so good. It has some kind of crispy crust on it that is awesome The Taste was unbelievable and the girl said it was made with a gluten-free coating. My husband loved the burrito it had all kinds of things in it. And for such a small place it is just so cute. Enjoy!

We rarely eat at the same restaurant twice in one day but that’s exactly what we did at Otto’s. Breakfast sandwiches and hash browns were amazing (all with gluten-free options) and when we came back for an early dinner, maybe the best fried chicken sandwich we’ve ever had; and gluten free too! Also, the French fries were delicious and the staff is amazing.

We stopped here to dodge Breckenridge traffic after skiing. Man, are we glad we did! The people here were very welcoming. We said we wanted to eat each other’s sandwich and breakfast burritos so they split it for us! So tasty, very big portion, very filling. We had the breakfast burrito and Cajun chicken sandwich, both amazing.

Otto’s Sandwich Shop in Fairplay is an absolute gem! The sandwiches are fresh, generously portioned, and packed with flavor—clearly made with quality ingredients and real care. The bread is excellent, the meats and veggies are fresh, and everything tastes homemade rather than rushed. The shop has a cozy, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the mountain-town feel, and the service is friendly and genuine. Whether you’re passing through or a local, Otto’s is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to. Easily one of the best spots in Fairplay for a satisfying, delicious meal.

Dude, this place is SO ridiculously good. I am vegetarian and my best friend has celiac so there are very limited options for us. We are both taken aback by how delicious this food is. We stopped at Otto’s on the way home from the snow sculpture event in Breckenridge. It was busy but things were moving right along. Had to pee anyway in the now heated outside bathroom.
We’ve been customers at Otto’s a number of times, and the overall experience is always very positive. It’s a nice stop along the way. I try to take people to South Park just for Otto’s.
My wife appreciates the Gluten Free options for almost all menu items; this time she had the Gluten-Free GMA’s BLT with a fried chicken added. I had the Philly.
It took a few minutes to find a place to sit. We ended up sharing a table with another couple and having a very nice conversation. The atmosphere and people at Otto’s invite socializing.
OK enough with the gushing.
This time around the sandwiches we got were a little below par compared to past experiences. My Philly was very basic but tasted fine, but my wife’s fried chicken was a little dry and didn’t have a lot of flavor. We didn’t say anything because it wasn’t THAT bad and it was VERY busy. But no more gushing until next time MMMKAY?

Best food you will have at roadside stop in Colorado. Variety of breakfast and lunch options. The photo I added was a special of the day, biscuit with either egg, sausage and cheese. Next time I’ll try to add more options. You’ll not be disappointed. Bring cash for a small discount.

This isn’t my type of food, but for what it is, it was pretty good. Our friends really liked it. The service was great. I would skip the grilled cheese, but there is a lot of chicken in that sandwich. South Park fans: make sure you see the bathroom.

We have been looking for land in the mountains and a happened across Otto’s. If you’re chill, hungry, and like creativity…. You’ll love this place. The people are so awesome, the food is great and huge, and you should expect a line…. That all adds up to a fantastic little spot, right on the highway, and it’s perfect for what it is! Stop in and tell them what you like, they’ll handle you from there!!! Been back, will be back!

Otto’s is awesome. Ordered the colossal chicken sandwich as recommended by the guy up front with Cajun fries neither of which disappointed. Had to split the sandwich because it was so big. Loved the atmosphere from the music playing to the art for sale displayed on the wall.
