We ordered to go. Had the Mongolian Beef. It was so sweet… Ive never had sweet Mongolian Beef. I couldn’t eat it. The orange chicken was good and the egg drop soup. My youngest had the Volcano roll. I’ll stick with Wok N Roll.

This is one of the hidden gems of awesome food in the Shoals area. It’s even worth a drive from a neighboring city. The food is amazing, the prices are reasonable, and the service was over the roll. “Grandma” waited on us and I can’t remember a better dining experience in a long time. Attentive, funny, personable, and experienced- She was terrific! Love this place!

Food was really good. If your looking for something thats like hibachi food but without the grill and high prices, this place is perfect. Not too expensive, great food all around, service was good and was constant. Will definitely be returning.

The service, environment, food, and pricing were all more than ideal here. The food was brought out fast and the server was funny and attentive. The environmental is themed incredibly, they had led lights that worked incredibly well with the textured walls to give an incredible effect and the white walls went so well with the black ceiling providing for a very cozy and comfortable space. The tables are more well lit than most other dine-in restaurants and the restaurant was cleaner than I expected a strip mall Chinese/Japanese restaurant to be. The food came out so fast and the menu was very large and had anything I could want from here since this is a hibachi/japenese/Chinese restaurant so they have it all it seems. The food was very good and I left full, which isn’t always the case when you go somewhere for the express purpose of eating sushi. Yumm Thai sushi and bar in downtown Florence has similar food but except over twice as expensive with no noticeable difference in quality, while rice box is high quality and gives you great value for your purchases. I spent 9 dollars total on food including tax, I bought two sushi rolls, which came with a great salad and a mid mido soup. Their sushi is so savory and it’s textured very well, it’s significantly better than Publix sushi in terms of texture and flavor profile. I had a really good time there and walked in and out very fast at lunch time due to their fast service, and the fact I didn’t have to wait long for my food or bill.

I hate to do this because I gave the benefit of the doubt last time. This is the second time I less than a year that I’ve gotten sick from eating here. The last time was in march. I figured maybe at the time it was just something didn’t agree with me. This time my order was completely different. I got sick again after eating food from here last night. I know for a fact it was the food from here because it’s the only thing I had all day since breakfast. I used to like rice box but, unfortunately I will not be back.

People come to Rice Box because they stay consistent with what the deliver. Good food at a great price with a really quick wait time. However, in the last few months the service had been severely lacking. They seem to have a large turnover rate for staff and the servers have been terribly inattentive the last few times I’ve dined in and some of them were actually RUDE. Love the food. It just seems like they need to start paying more attention to their service. Training would be a huge step in the right direction before you put somebody out on the floor to handle customers.
