I truly hate to post this because I’ve always been a fan of Sonic at Semmes. Actually, several members of my family worked there from around 2012 to 2015 or 16!
Today, I dropped in and ordered a burger and a coke. I ate 2 small bites of the burger and realized something wasn’t right! Two hours after eating I became violently ill and started throwing up. The taste of meat was horrific! I threw up for an hour non-stop. No doubt it was a bad burger. Please be more cautious when serving your food!

This place has gone to the pits, especially when they have a crew of kids running it. They messed up 3 out of 4 of my drinks, refused to correct them even when I told them the order was wrong. The manager Avery was very rude and condescending. I wouldn’t let him run a lemonade stand, let alone serve the general public. I truly believe it’s because I was a balck person calling him and his crew out on crappy service. They literally laughed and refused to fix an error they made. This is appalling and very unacceptable! I can take my money elsewhere and be treated with common courtesy and respect.

This place used to be amazing and the only good Sonic in all of Mobile. I dont know what happened but I guess I’m done with all the local Sonics. The last few times I’ve ordered from here my usual bacon, egg, and cheese burrito has gotten smaller and smaller. Today. they decided to give me (who is pregnant mind you) and my fiance a tortilla with cheese melted on it, a pinch of bacon, and what was clearly the remaining egg they already had that was maybe the size of a pinky. Dont stop here unless you just feel like spending a lot for nothing.

I went to this location once 2 years ago and the service and food were horrible so I stopped going. Fast forward to today and guess what it hasn’t changed! 2/2 times and I was treated the same way. Your staff totally lacks communication skills and the food is cold and my slush tasted like red water! This may be a franchise but corporate needs to know who is representing their name!

I decided to try sonic today for lunch since I had a coupon in my coupon book that I bought from semmes elementary. It was for a B1G1 sonic burger, I went to 3 different stalls and all of them was out of order, so I went to the other side to order. I ordered 2 sonic burgers ( told her I had a coupon) she was very rude to start off with. I also ordered 3 kids meals. 5 mins later here comes my food, which I thought was very fast and efficient. I got home to eat and my burger tasted weird like old meat or something wrong with the mayo so I fed it to my dogs. My friend did the same with her burger she couldn’t eat it and threw it away. Second, all three kids meals was god awful also, all 5 meals had to be thrown away. Two of them was chicken tenders kids meals, very nasty tasted like grease including the tots. My kids wouldn’t eat it. I also ordered a root beer with vanilla, tasted like nothing but vanilla with no root beer. Please do better a waste of $26 very disappointed.

1. Chris, I understand that working the drive-thru can be stressful, but raising your tone and showing attitude toward any customer is counterproductive.
2. When a customer pulls up to the window claiming they placed an online order and that their food was mistakenly given away, please do not ask for their phone to confirm the order—only to then completely reverse course and attempt to have us re-order the food they mishandled and gave away for free. This is especially frustrating after the staff repeatedly claimed they never received our order in the first place.
3. As a cautionary tale: never hand your phone to a fast food employee. Hold it up for them to see instead. God only knows what else they’re forgetting while giving away people’s orders for free.
4. To make matters worse, when we attempted to confirm whether we were even at the correct store location, not a single employee could identify the address or verify the location they were working at. None of them. That level of disorganization is unacceptable for any business.

Very busy tonight and understaffed. The two employees we talked to were super nice. We only ordered drinks. We weren’t told they were completely out of ice until we paid $12 and got the drinks. Very disappointing.

Usually, we have wonderful experiences at Sonic and have enjoyed going since they opened. During this visit, the burgers were not good at all. They tasted old and not like the regular burger. We waited quite a while in the drive thru to even move up after we ordered, and it wasn’t any busier than normal. Everyone has rough days, so we will write it off to that.
Other than this visit, we have enjoyed fast service through the drive thru our pulling into the parking spot and ordering. The food has always been good, no matter what we have gotten from burgers, chicken bites, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers and desserts.
