The server was very nice And it’s a cool place. but the food was not good. Beef enchiladas had no taste grease was pouring out of the meat and no seasoning on the meat. Sauce was not very good. Wife had chicken taco and barely ate any of it. Said it was gross. Just plain chicken. Need to up you Mexican seasoning. This is just not good food.

Prices are really reasonable here for dinner and the place was packed on. Friday night. I had the #3 Taco and Tamale combo. The taco was ok just looked weird with the salsa dripping down the side. My plate had the tamale or tamal, properly spelled, plus huge serving of guacamole and chips. It was very dry and didn’t taste fresh. Decor was not that traditional. Also why don’t they serve chips and salsa to everyone just like every other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to.

The restaurant was clean and not very busy at all around 3pm food was hot and fresh and the waitress was very attentive always on time for refills on drinks ..I recommend this place to anyone that’s very hungry the food portions are big …I would have gave 5 stars but the listening and communication between waitress and cooks needs some attention for the orders to be correct ..other then that food and service was excellent

No basket of free chips and salsa, which is kinda unusual. So don’t bother getting them. The amount of food per entree is more than enough. The tacos are totally from scratch, and the enchiladas are more like burritos sizewise.

Had the Fajita Taco Salad w/steak here today. The meat was mostly very tender and had good flavor. Their house ranch dressing was excellent as was their house hot sauce. The only drawback was the fried tortilla shell was tough. It was an effort to break pieces off. Otherwise a great salad.

We always order Mexican casserole at the location in Omaha but happened to be in Council Bluffs. It was not edible and highly disappointing, we will be staying away from Council Bluffs Jonesys taco house on 16th from now on!
