These are simply the best, most authentic tacos in the Pittsburgh area. You order at the register inside, give your order to the taquero outside, get your food and then hit the salsa/condiment bar in the covered shed/eating area.

As close to getting tacos in Mexico as you’ll find around here.

To say these tacos are AMAZING is an understatement. Thank you La Poblanita for filling the void I been missing since moving to Pittsburgh!! I am from California where there are taco trucks on every corner with real authentic Mexican food and since moving to Pittsburgh I have tried everywhere to find that cali taco and nothing hit the spot for me until today. Being here 13 years and flying back to California every year just to enjoy real authentic Mexican cali tacos only to not know about this hidden gem in coraopolis. You guys definitely hit the spot for this cali girl!! I got the asada tacos. You get to put your own toppings which is awesome! Asada was fresh and the salsas were sooo good! Love the little grocery store as well! Very friendly people I felt right at home. Tacos were fairly priced w/ a tip jar for the worker which he definitely deserved! You pay inside first then go outside handing him a ticket along with your meat choice. They accept cash or card but using a card there is a surcharge. If you need a bag or little cups for salsas/toppings ask the cashier inside. Very quick service. I ordered 3 tacos at first since it was my first time there went in my car and had a bite only to go back and order 4 more lol this place was about a hour out so I needed tomorrows lunch! Anyway, thank you for showing Pittsburgh what real authentic Mexican food truly is! ❤️

I seriously think these were the best tacos I’ve ever had. I lived in both Los Angeles and Chicago where delicious, authentic tacos are fairly easy to come by. Pittsburgh they’ve been quite a bit more difficult to find. La Poblanita has filled the taco void in my heart and I couldn’t be more grateful. I got the pastor and carne asada. I assume they make the tortillas there because they are so fresh and don’t rip like a lot corn tortillas have a tendency to do. Friendly staff and amazing tacos. Go get them now!

Fairly traditional corn tortilla tacos w a topping bar. Pretty similar to las Palmas in Oakland.

Descent portions, simpler meat seasoning, standard toppings of cilantro onions salsas etc.

It all fit the bill and we both enjoyed it.

Vibe and atmosphere is super…quarter effort, minimal but works. Like a tarp over some tables, plastic chairs, etc. In general, it feels like an abandoned gas station — and it looks like an abandoned gas station. I kinda like it lol

This place is a solid traditional. Not sure I would drive from pgh for this, but if you are in the area – come, enjoy yourself, and as long as the vibe doesn’t throw you off – it’s good

About the place :
This place is located in a gas station in a town that looks abandoned. This is a mexican grocery store with a small stall outside that serves fresh tacos. U need to pay for the tacos inside and they hand you a ticket which u can give outside to the guys who makes tacos. They have place to sit outside with clean tables.

About the food :
I took 4 tacos to try, pastor, carnitas, pollo and asada. These tacos were good. I liked asada and pollo the most. They also have a small bar outside where u can pick the toppings that u need on your tacos etc.

Overall : Good experience and will visit again. Quantity was good considering a small stall.

So, I’ve read a bit about this place over the past year that I’ve been visiting the area and have been wanting to try it for a while due to all the positive reviews. I finally got to try it on a Friday, when they offer buy 2 – get 1 free tacos.

Firstly, I went to the wrong location… turns out there are two restaurants across the street from each other; one is a grocery store with the taco stand and the other offers ice cream and a lot more items, like fried whole fish, etc. but no tacos there. So, be sure to go the appropriate location for the food you desired.

So, when I walked across the street to the tacos stand, the guy at the outdoor grill told me to go inside to pay. When I did, I waited a long time at the register before seeking out an employee, who looked like he was stocking a shelf. He came over and rung me up and had somewhat of a bad attitude. The price was decent, only about $7 for the three tacos. Brought my ticket outside to get my tacos, the guy outside made them by heating up some corn tortillas and then added tons of meat to them, so you definitely get a very large portion here. They have a salsa bar (which is refrigerated, since it’s outdoors) to fix up your tacos the way you want.

I tried one pollo, one chicken fajita, and one carnitas. The two chicken tacos were just ok, not very flavorful and very dry. The carnitas was pretty decent. All of them needed lots of salsa to get more flavor to them and each also needed some lime squeezed on them.

Overall, I can say that I’ve finally been, but I’m definitely not going back… I crave really good tacos and after this visit, these are definitely not “craveable” to me.

The taco stall is located at the front of the grocery store and has a casual vibe, perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

I ordered a variety of tacos including asada, al pastor, carnitas and pollo. The standout for me was definitely the carnitas taco. The tacos were made fresh to order and the meats were tender and well-seasoned. You can add your own toppings from the compliments table, they were fresh and complemented the tacos perfectly. The corn tortillas were also freshly grilled and added a nice texture to the tacos.

The service at the taco stall was quick and efficient, and the prices were reasonable. The portion size was generous, and I appreciated the value for my money.

I would recommend this place for a quick bite, for anyone who loves authentic Mexican food. It’s a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit for anyone in the mood for authentic tacos. I will definitely be back for more!

Street tacos and and authentic Mexican groceries right on 4th Ave in Cory?! Yes please! Most of the tacos were mostly very good, though one or two were underwhelming. The topping bar was a nice touch, though beware the hot sauces, they have a kick! The snacks and food inside are awesome as well, and shopping here offers a small window into Mexican culture and experience here in America.

This place is fantastic!

Place your order inside the shop and make sure you get your salsas in the tent outside!

Absolutely phenomenal for $3.50 a taco!
