Went out for a nice night. Suprised tent was up for St Pat’s day so could sit on patio. That is where the good experience ended. Had great love music but food and deinks were so sad. Plastic glass for my $12 wine and $16 esspresso martini while other tables got actual glassware. Was the staff tired and not want to wash dishes? Yuck. wont be back. Standards have def lowered.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. To start the food is terrible. Quality is sub-par, and comparable to fast food. They serve frozen food thats been reheated. The shrimp appetizer looked like grocery bought pre made shrimp, tiny, not fresh, served on top of fries, which made no sense at all. I sent back my entree (fish and chips), the sauce looked old, the fish was small, overcooked, poor tasting, stale, and the fries were lame. And to top it off the prices are insane. I ordered a bloody mary that was $15 but was small, tasted bad, and, so much sediment in it .You can get far far far better quality fresh food anywhere else for the same price. Do not, and I beg you, eat here. I can’t even believe anyone goes to this place, nor can I believe this place is rated 4.2. This might be the worst food I have ever eaten at a sit-down restaurant. There were so many aimless serves standing around doing nothing which gave this place an even weirder vibe. Just off, very off. My boyfriend and I are still in disbelief. I feel bad writing this, and I don’t often leave reviews, especially bad ones, but I can not in good conscious let this slide without warning anyone.

First time trying this restaurant. Their is limited street parking, parking in the back, and parking across the street in the parking garage.
We sat out on the patio. I tried the French onion soup, and it was good. I also tried the albacore tuna club with the potato salad. Both were good. My friend tried the Reuben with the veggies, and she said they were both good. The server was kind, and the service was quick.

Great atmosphere. Really lovely patio area and downtown LaGrange is extremely quaint. Close to the movie theatre. We really enjoyed the pretzel bite appetizers and thought the French fries were solid. However, the cheese dip they bring out with the appetizer was stadium quality cheese sauce. Unfortunately, it tastes like they use the same cheese on the Mac n cheese and the baked potatoes. The most disappointing food was their famous corned beef sandwich. They don’t grill the bread! The bread quickly falls apart with the soft wet rye. The corned beef itself was not flavorful. All in all, the place looks great but they’re dropping the ball big time with the food quality. I’d recommend for a drink and some apps and a movie next door, but not at all for the meals.

Went to watch the Bears fame on Sunday. Jessica, who is awesome, was our server. It wasn’t crowded so we were able to hear the game, which makes for a better experience.
Elevated bar food; I recommend the crispy green beans as a starter. Good pours on the drinks. Vegan options are available in the menu. Cozy neighborhood place. Did I Jessica was a terrific server? We will be back.

Had a great lunch today! Our food was delicious and plentiful! We had the BLT club/fries and Vege pita. Our waitress, Jane was exceptional! Large patio. Upstairs patio also. A gem in LaGrange!

First time here, so glad my Sis in law brought me here!! It was cozy, alot of room & super clean! I ordered the BLT club…ohhhboy it was big & delicious, I could only eat 1/2 – it was a big sandwich (love leftovers) & the coleslaw was yum! Sis ordered a nice juicy burger & fries & said it was awesome! The young lady that took care of us was so sweet & friendly – she made us feel very welcome!!! Thank you Palmer House Staff for a great 1st time experience – I will be back!!!

Really like this place. Plenty of beer options, mixed drinks are good and the food is really good too. Patio seating is great. I love a nice evening on the patio with a good drink and delicious food.
Recently went again after a long time of not visiting and it’s just as good. Love the Christmas decorations eventhough I’m not a big fan of the holiday. If felt like what home as an American child probably looks and feels like. The staff was super cool. As usual.

Horrible management. Patio is filthy, full of debris at every table. People smoking at the entrance of the patio which should be a fine as it’s within 15 ft of people eating. Place is dead and I’m surprised it’s still in business given the much nicer and better treatment of other places nearby such as Elm. We didn’t stay as the manager was beyond rude. Such a gross place.

Holy moly the burgers are legit here. I had the Ultimate Gourmet Burger because well, why not!? It was mammoth and pretty good. It’s a really busy burger so you need to make sure you take your time and enjoy all the flavors. The patty was cooked perfectly which blew my mind. The only reason I dropped a star is although they do an exceptional job with the burger and service, the patty was not warm and the French fries were double deep fried (reheated). Hopefully other customers get fresh fries and warmer food.
