Came here for lunch because friend recommended it, saying they have these Dim Sum carts. However, on the day we visited for lunch, there were none. We just ordered from the menu. It took a long time for any order to arrive. There were a few items that were supposed to be cook and hot, but arrived cold which was unpleasant to eat. Some of the Siu-mai and dumplings arrived with wrapper felling of the meat. The egg tart was not good either. Kind of disappointed with the food quality.

We sat and dined at the Mai Dragon side; great food with fair prices- it was packed on a Thursday. They serve dim sum treats along with menu options. I highly recommend coming here- it’s probably the best Chinese restaurant around Hanover.

We eat here very often, every other month or so. We like their sushi and Chinese food. Tonight we had Alaska roll, crunch maki, shrimp lo mein and pork fried rice. The pork was a bit fatty, but everything else was good.

Mai Dragon is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area! We absolutely love everything they serve. This time, we tried the dim sum, roasted pork, sesame beef, and duck noodle soup—and it was all AMAZING! The broth in the soup was incredible, full of flavor, and the meat was perfectly cooked, not dry at all. The service was top-notch too; the staff was very attentive and worked hard to make our experience enjoyable. We highly recommend giving them a try—you’ll love it just as much as we do! The food is authentic, the prices are reasonable, and we even had some delicious leftovers to take home. The atmosphere felt like a cozy family dining experience. We’ll definitely be back soon!

I go here often and order delivery. Food is great! Very fresh! Could use a renovation inside a little more fancier with fish tanks inside to look at while you eat. Nice atmosphere music playing. Nice after eating, to bring a scoop of orange sherbet with fortune cookie on top and a hot wash cloth to clean hands. I’ve been to one in Odenton that does it. It’s very nice inside.

I tell you. Food there sucks today. They tasted old, stale and nasty. The roasted duck looked like, it has been reheated many times and tasted horrible. Dont get me going about the dimsum. What a joke!
I asked the water for an extra container of chilly oil. He brought out two saucers. How much does that chilly oil cost? I did not ask for too much. If I am giving you 18-25% tips, you have got to do better than that. Overall, everything from A to Z was trash.

This is the best dim sum restaurant in Maryland! I remember their first location on the Columbia Lakefront, then their move to Ellicott City, and now they’ve finally settled here. Every time friends visit us, they always insist on going to this place.
We are a group of four adults and four kids, and we always have a great time dining here. To my surprise, when we visited last Saturday, they had brought back my favorite FRIED TARO SHRIMP FRITTERS!
I remember they stopped making it a few years ago, and I rarely see it at other restaurants. It’s one of my favorite dim sum dishes.
Although the restaurant looks ordinary from the outside, the food is incredibly authentic and tastes amazing. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive so we can keep enjoying their delicious food!

Overall, very pleased with this restaurant. When I first walked in I almost turned around to leave.The look inside was not screaming Great Chinese Food. The atmosphere was just of a large room with tables and chairs. It looked anything but Chinese. But I was hungry and decided to stay. Was I ever glad I did. I ordered the Egg Drop soup and Kung Pao Beef. Both were up there with the most delicious of these dishes I’ve ever had. The meat was so tender it cut with a fork like butter. And the flavors were extraordinary. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying their Dim Sum. Back to the atmosphere, I’m not big on spending lots of money on interior but this place definitely needs some help to make it warm, inviting and Chinese! One last thing, a pet peeve of mine, when they give you the check the suggested tip amounts are based on the food plus tax, though I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and guess they don’t know the machine is doing this… I just get the feeling they wouldn’t.
