KPOT is a fantastic fusion of flavor and fun! The selection of meats and fresh ingredients for both the BBQ and Hot Pot is impressive, but what truly made our night was the service.
Our server, Dereck, was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with ease. His personable energy made us feel right at home despite the busy atmosphere. It’s rare to find someone who balances professional expertise with such a genuine, welcoming attitude.
If you’re looking for great food and a seamless dining experience, ask for Dereck. We will definitely be back!

We got the combo with BBQ and hot pot. I went with the Japanese miso soup, and my husband had the spicy Korean seafood one. Both tasted great. Fresh meat, fresh seafood, and plenty of appetizers to choose from. Service was fast, and the server was super friendly with good recommendations.

If I could afford it, I’d eat here multiple times a week. This is my favorite Korean barbecue place in the Salt Lake Valley area. They’ve got excellent service full bar set up. Lots of great food options plus they’ve got the hot pot. Always love coming here.

I’ve been a loyal customer at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot every two weeks since moving to Utah. Birthdays, Valentine’s, family visits I bring everyone here because it’s always been amazing. Until tonight…
From the moment we sat down, we could tell something was off. Our waiter handed us waters and then vanished. We waited 10 minutes just to let him know we were doing both barbecue and hot pot. When he did come back, he forgot to oil the grill, again another 15 minutes, comes by before we see him again. Then he disappeared again.
The most frustrating part? The repeated apologies. We received at least three separate “thank you for your patience” comments because he kept forgetting basic things. When our pan needed to be changed, we had to track him down again, only to wait another ten minutes because he “forgot.” At some point, apologies stop meaning anything.
Honestly, I think he forgot we existed.
On top of that, the meat tasted off. The hanger steak was chewy, fatty, which is not the usual standard here. And Booth 9? Zero legroom. It’s basically a booth for people who don’t need knees.
I’ve never had bad service here before especially compared to the amazing servers I’ve had in the past. But tonight completely changed my outlook. After being this consistent of a customer, this was wildly disappointing.
Next time, I’ll be taking my bi-weekly money somewhere that remembers I’m sitting at the table.

My daughter heard of this place so I took her there for her birthday. I had no clue what I was getting into but it was Delicious. That the K-Pop grill and the broth. I was really unsure what kind of bra ticket so I asked the server And he suggested half-and-half of two of the broths It was very good I put some chili oil in it and gave it a little kick tasted amazing. I know me and my family will be going back. Thank you to all the staff. I was my 1st time there. And I enjoyed it.

I went to KPOT for a friend’s birthday. The food was amazing, seriously 10 out of 10. Everything we tried tasted fresh and flavorful, and I’d absolutely recommend it and come back again for the food alone.
Service was the only downside. Our server was pretty inattentive, and one of our items came out not great, but the rest of the meal was really good. Overall, great food and a fun spot for a group.

Service was great. Atmosphere was flashy. The food was subpar at best. Do not recommend on the food alone. No flavor, and the bar was a mess. Just felt like they were trying to compensate for something, maybe the variety in options. My husband called it the chucky cheese of Korean bbq lol.
Service 11/10. Food came fast, our waiter was amazing. But that’s all I can speak positively on.
