KPOT is a fantastic fusion of flavor and fun! The selection of meats and fresh ingredients for both the BBQ and Hot Pot is impressive, but what truly made our night was the service.
Our server, Dereck, was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with ease. His personable energy made us feel right at home despite the busy atmosphere. It’s rare to find someone who balances professional expertise with such a genuine, welcoming attitude.
If you’re looking for great food and a seamless dining experience, ask for Dereck. We will definitely be back!
We opted for both hot pot and Korean BBQ, and while it’s on the pricier side, you’re paying for an experience as much as a meal — and it delivers. Having lived in China, Taiwan, and Korea, I was impressed by how authentic it felt. The variety of meats, seafood, tofu, mushrooms, and unique vegetables was outstanding, and the sauce bar is the true win. Get creative, mix and match — that’s where the real flavor adventure begins.
The ordering system is tech-forward and seamless. You choose everything from a tablet, and food arrives quickly to the table. Our server was fantastic — attentive without hovering, kept drinks topped off, and even swapped out our grill plate the moment it started to char. I wish I caught his name because he deserves a shout-out.
Miso soup with their range of tofu options was a highlight for me — the kind of ingredients I loved living overseas but rarely find here. Meats were sliced well, fresh, and cooked beautifully at the table. It felt like a little slice of Seoul tucked away in Taylorsville.
The neon-lit, K-pop-infused atmosphere adds a fun energy without being overwhelming. It’s modern, a bit playful, and feels like it knows exactly what it is: a place to gather, experiment, and enjoy food together.
It’s not cheap, but for a night out that’s interactive, flavorful, and surprisingly authentic, it’s worth it. I left impressed — enough to say I’ve probably found a new favorite spot when I’m craving a real Asian hot pot & BBQ experience.
From the moment we sat down, we could tell something was off. Our waiter handed us waters and then vanished. We waited 10 minutes just to let him know we were doing both barbecue and hot pot. When he did come back, he forgot to oil the grill, again another 15 minutes, comes by before we see him again. Then he disappeared again.
The most frustrating part? The repeated apologies. We received at least three separate “thank you for your patience” comments because he kept forgetting basic things. When our pan needed to be changed, we had to track him down again, only to wait another ten minutes because he “forgot.” At some point, apologies stop meaning anything.
Honestly, I think he forgot we existed.
On top of that, the meat tasted off. The hanger steak was chewy, fatty, which is not the usual standard here. And Booth 9? Zero legroom. It’s basically a booth for people who don’t need knees.
I’ve never had bad service here before especially compared to the amazing servers I’ve had in the past. But tonight completely changed my outlook. After being this consistent of a customer, this was wildly disappointing.
Next time, I’ll be taking my bi-weekly money somewhere that remembers I’m sitting at the table.
Every other server I’ve ever had here has been amazing, especially the girl with the tattoos and black hair with blonde underneath she’s fantastic I can’t remember her name at the moment, and the two other gentlemen who are consistently great. I have truly never had bad service here until tonight.
Service was the only downside. Our server was pretty inattentive, and one of our items came out not great, but the rest of the meal was really good. Overall, great food and a fun spot for a group.
Service 11/10. Food came fast, our waiter was amazing. But that’s all I can speak positively on.
