We have eaten at Yiannis many times, we even had our rehearsal dinner there. It’s been a wonderful experience…until last night!
We, a party of five, had a reservation at 6:45 and were early. We were sat right away, and our server was prompt with water, drinks and bread. We then waited nearly one and a half hours for our food – all of us ordered burgers – to be served. Our meals arrived at 8:15, and the burgers had no warmth to them at all and the French fries were not even lukewarm.
We sent them back – which none of us has ever done before – and the fries came back warm. My mom’s burger had raw bacon (see picture). Despite how hungry we were at this point, one of our guests from England couldn’t even eat her burger as it was raw inside.
We were very disappointed with the quality of food. Yes, our server seemed engaged and was pleasant. The manager from the pizza shop came over and overed us 50% off the meals, which was something.
We have never had a bad meal here before, but this was just unacceptable. It will be a long time before we go back, I am sorry to say.

I had the greatest experience planning our Chesapeake Lions Club Christmas party at Yiannis it was also my birthday. I visited them about 2 months in advance to be sure they could accommodate our 20+ members who would be attending. We had a very diverse group of ages and races. They put us in the private upscale wine room and we had a delightful time. Although our group was large, our food wait time was not that long and our servers were excellent. My club member’s and spouses loved how you could try wines by the ounce. Once we got the hang of the wine dispensers, a great time was had! Thank you for accommodating our large group during the busy December holiday season. I definitely recommend your restaurant experience to any small group wanting an upscale celebration experience!

We went for my husband’s birthday, due to our party being 9 we had a chefs choice.
We had the most delicious food, drinks and service. We were given a delicious and massive charcuterie board, followed by 2 different salads. The main course was lamb, beef, 2 whole fishes and side dishes. There was so much food and every bite was incredible. We had cake for dessert.
We had a wonderful night, food was amazing, timing of courses perfect and we had the best night ever. My husband wants to go back as soon as possible!

I had an amazing experience at Yiannis! The salmon burger was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The charcuterie board was the perfect accompaniment, with a great variety of meats and cheeses that paired beautifully with the sangria. Speaking of sangria, it was refreshing and just the right balance of fruity and tangy.
What truly stood out, though, was the customer service. Chris, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our visit extra special. Highly recommend this place for great food and top-notch service! I’ll definitely be back.

What a wonderful night! Thank you Yiannis. My 16 oz Ribeye was done to a perfect med rare, with the roast red potatoes complimented ribeye wonderfully. My wife had the sea scallops which were melt in our mouth perfection, (the risotto was one note, but cooked well.) Angel, our waiter, took care of us even when it was a busy evening. We lack for nothing the whole night. I don’t often give a top review, Yianni

I had an intimate wedding dinner here and it was one of the best places I’ve experienced. Don was awesome to work with and he set up everything to my expectations. The chef is also great, he accommodated my guests and my wife requested to the T. The wait staff was also awesome and they made service wonderful. I also want to say that the bartenders were the fan favorites, my guests loved their drinks and my guests loved how the bartenders served them.
This is a lovely place I’ll never forget. You should try it!

Two Maids of Virginia Beach
We had a great dinner and a wonderful experience. Once we got seated water came out, the maitre d’ greeted us and gave us some history and suggestions then the Sommelier came by and asked us a few questions about our wine preferences based on our dinner thoughts. Shortly thereafter Tony our waiter came by and took our drink orders. The staff was attentive, the food was delicious and the environment was absolutely perfect. Great Job!!!!

A group of friends and I went to Yiannis for a friend’s giving. The service was excellent, they tended to our every need and even provided us with a private room to host our party. The food was delicious. However, I gave 4 stars because it came out cold, and my guest did make note of it. However, everything else was exceptional. I will return soon for a date and/or night with the girls for wine. Please make sure to visit, you will not be disappointed.

Yianni’s might be one of if not the best restaurant we’ve been to in the Virginia Beach area. A Bolognese might be something that a lot of people turn their nose up at, but the pasta was clearly hand made, and the meat in the sauce was phenomenal. My wife got the duck and it was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender, and tasty.
The wine is something all on its own. I have yet to find another restaurant that has such an extensive list of amazing wines at such a reasonable cost. They have everything from Bonanza to Opus One. That’s not an exaggeration. I was looking at a bottle of Bonanza in front of me and discovered that there was a bottle of Opus One sitting right behind me.
If you’re looking for a nice date, or a good place to try some good wines, I can’t recommend Yianni’s e enough!
