So I decided to celebrate my 25th birthday at Surreal Global Kitchen, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
From the food and drinks to the décor and the staff, everything was absolutely incredible. They truly made the night feel so special for me and my friends. We had a few guests with food allergies, and even though we were a large group, every dish came out on time, perfectly cooked, and prepared with great care and attention to those allergies.
The manager, Andrea, came to our table several times to make sure I was having a wonderful birthday. She even surprised me with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch.
If you’re thinking about trying this restaurant, I can’t recommend it enough. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

After reading the reviews on Google, we made a reservation, expecting a memorable night — and it truly was, but unfortunately not in a good way.!! The pizza was surprisingly bad with a chewy cheese, the Chinese Caribbean salad was full of sauce, and the Caesar salad although was very low quality. I really believe reviews are subjective; everything depends on the reviewer’s experience, taste, knowledge, and “standards”!! So when I saw people praising the pizza, it made me wonder a lot about the reviewers — or maybe a different chef prepared theirs.
You can definitely go and try it for yourself, but none of the four of us will be returning, not even to give it a second chance.

We had a great dining experience today. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Our server was very attentive from the moment we arrived, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal. The drink we ordered was excellent—well balanced and full of flavor. On top of that, the manager came by our table to check on us, which we really appreciated. Overall, outstanding service and amazing food. We will definitely be coming back!

We stopped in for an early Saturday dinner at Surreal Global Kitchen in Arlington, VA, and it turned out to be a great choice. The atmosphere is excellent—inviting, modern, and stylish with both indoor and outdoor seating that feels warm and energetic without being loud. I really loved the open kitchen concept, which adds a cool, lively vibe as you can watch the chefs at work. There’s also a small café inside, with baked goods and drinks.
I ordered the Margherita Pizza and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crispy from the first bite to the last slice, which is rare to find. The tomato sauce tasted incredibly fresh, and the burrata cheese was rich and creamy—definitely high-quality ingredients. If I had one small comment, it would be that there was a little too much olive oil, and the burrata in the middle wasn’t sliced, which made a bit of a mess when cutting into it. Still, the flavor was excellent and it was clearly crafted with care.
We made reservations for an early dinner on a Saturday, but it didn’t seem necessary at that hour. However, I can see this place getting busy later on, so reservations might still be a good idea depending on the time.

Wow!!!! I was a bit skeptical to dine here as there was some negative reviews recently… but I went in with open mind and left here completely satisfied! The food was very high quality, and delicious. Our server Christian, was attentive, kind and accommodating. He also educated us really well on the menu and the manager Andrea (who was very sweet & helpful too) came by and shared strong suggestions for what to try on the menu as well. Due to their suggestions, we went with the ceviche platter, arroz chaufa, and the shrimp pizza which were all super good. The dessert we had was the dessert cocktail lemon cloud!!! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!! Thank you to the staff at Surreal for providing us with this lovely experience!

The atmosphere is the only thing we found superb here. Take a look at the “caesar salad” photo. Was whole leafs of butterhead lettuce with some salad dressing on top. Was the saddest salad I’ve had in a long time. The $53 steak was cooked perfectly, but the guacamole smeared across the gigantic plate and accompanied by 4 balls of mashed plantain left a lot to be desired. To top it off our waitress was absent most the night trying to work simultaneously in the bar and across the entire restaurant. We will not be returning.

Highly recommend. Phenomenal food. I was that surprised there wasn’t that many people on a Friday night. The ceviche was out of this world, along with the swordfish carpaccio, the branzino, and the steak!

Went on a Friday night and after tasting our meals, we were in shock over how empty they were. And not only was the food a sublime experience, but the presentation was on par with the best fine dining and awarded restaurants that we have been to. I would highly highly recommend this and the price point is super reasonable, especially considering the tip notch service. I hope that many more people take time to check out this gem.
The only suggestion I have is to possibly tone down the bright lighting inside to create a more intimate atmosphere. We sat outside so the bright lights inside didn’t affect our meal.
Kudos to the chef. This was our best meal out in a while!! Picture are the scallops and the fried rice.

Came here for brunch. Edgar my server was very attentive and great with suggestions as my first time here. Edwin the bartender made the best drinks well balanced. The place is really cute and the ambiance great. All of the staff are very friendly. Thank you Andrea (the manager) for your hospitality and checking on us making sure everything is great

I ordered the double cheeseburger, honey pepperoni pizza, and lava cake, and all three dishes exceeded my expectations. The cheeseburger was juicy and packed with flavor, cooked perfectly. The honey pepperoni pizza was a pleasant surprise – I usually prefer a thinner crust, but their thick, chewy crust had a great texture and paired perfectly with the sweet-spicy flavor of the toppings. The lava cake was rich, decadent, and the perfect way to end the meal. The cake the sauce and ice cream were delicious and perfectly complimented each other.
The servers were incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. On top of that, the decor was beautiful, creating a stylish and inviting atmosphere that elevated the meal even more.
