Let me start of by saying I used to go here a lot over 20 years ago. The food was cheap, good and big portions. I’m going to say now a days it’s on the low end when you don’t want to spend much you go here. Food I would say was compared to a cafeteria vibe I had salty pot roast and a sad supposedly baked potato which was undercooked and disgusting. But when I tell you the waitress was so on point her name is Tonya and let me tell you she is a whole vibe. She made this 99 restaurant experience amazing. She is sweet, energetic and amazing in every way. She comped my potato and entertained us. I would go back only to see Tonya actually because her service was attentive and phenomenal. I’m not impressed with the food but if I was having a party at the 99 I want only Tonya.

Took my son back home to Boston. We stopped at the 99 in Quincy for dinner. Larry the server was absolutely fantastic .The manager Giovanni came over to the table asked if we were happy with everything. Without a doubt. The rib eyes were out of this world. Cooked to perfection. Mashed and vegetables were excellent. Never had to ask for a refill it was there. This is the pace to dine. Wife and I decided tomorrow for dinner we are going to try the Milford location. My parents took us to the 99 when we were children. It was good then. It is still fantastic. Larry and Giovanni thank you for a great dining experience. We will be back.

I recall when 99 Restaurant was the go-to spot, rivaling Friendly’s and Applebee’s in popularity. But as time passed, its allure began to fade. Nowadays, it’s often the fallback option for big families looking for a budget-friendly meal out. While it still maintains a welcoming atmosphere for families, there’s room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. Fortunately, the staff are usually quite pleasant.

Lydia is 10/10. She is one of the best servers we’ve ever had. She is personable, attentive and makes you feel like she’s known you for 10 years. If everyone could be like Lydia, there would be world peace.

We were the 1st customers in the am. Seated right away. Waited about 30 min for our food. There were no other customers at the time. 3 separate orders, all different meals. Corn was cold, potatoes were room temp and my medium steak tips, were well done. The server even agreed with it being well done. He “talked to his Manager”, who never came to our table. Said they would comp our drinks, Child’s food was free( Red Sox won) lemonade and a soda. Worst experience ever at a 99. Everyone knows not to send food back, after complaining about it. Very disappointed in the meal and the management for not even addressing us in person. Will not be going back there. The syrup in the soda was overwhelming and the powdered lemonade was horrendous.

My family and I went there last week and we were greeted with the most beautiful young polite kind caring girl we have ever had the pleasure of having the ability to seat/greet us. She was amazing. And made our whole day well better, as we just got news of a loved one passing away unexpectedly. And then come to find out is was only her 4th day working there. I was wanna say she’s a keeper and a hard worker and she should be acknowledged and her name was Jessica R.
Your one lucky 99 to have this young girl as a team member. I may steal her for my restaurant. Happy Holidays

The hostess was very sweet and friendly; she sat us right away. We went in around 2:15 PM, so there was no crowd. The waitress will remain nameless, but she messed up most of the order. We asked for a refresher and received lemondae. The lemonade was good, but it was not what we ordered. We asked for corn and received broccoli. The rice was beyond watery so we had warm mashed potatoes after requesting steaming hot potatoes, because the rest of the food was cold. The chicken had no seasoning and the biscuit was hard as a brick. This must have been an off day for the restaurant, because they have great reviews. The food was terrible and service was nothing special.

My husband and I ate here for dinner, mostly because it was within walking distance of our hotel and was open late. I had the haddock and he had the fish and chips. The food was fine, but not great. Kind of bland and could use more seasoning.
The service was horribly slow. I understand that this sometimes happens during rush hours, but it was not busy at all. We were one of the few tables there. We waited 5-10 minutes just for someone to stop by for our drink orders, then waited a reasonably long time for food, then waited a very long time before we could flag someone down for the check and to-go boxes. We ended up paying in cash because neither of us wanted to risk another 30 minute wait for a server to return with our credit card.
Atmosphere was about what you’d expect for a sports bar. The TV was loud enough to be distracting, though not so loud you couldn’t hear the other people at your table.
