Visited 1/17/26, Definitely not enough parking. I can see why though. Lots of people, not A lot of space. The food makes it all up though. Me and my friend ordered the Katsu Plate, Teriyaki Chicken Plate, and A Kahuna Burger. Food took about 20-40 minutes to come out, no problem. Smelt Absolutely amazing. Looks Absolutely amazing too. the taste? GREAT. Definitely a spot to visit again.

So delicious and worth every penny! About $20 per person which is a steal. Definitely try the loco moco- the burger patties are so delicious & that gravy is amazing. The spam musubi was great too. Can’t wait to go back!

The food was delicious and only took about 10 minutes to come out after ordering. I got the teriyaki chicken, it was so tender and had so much flavor. Rice was sticky like sushi rice and was sooo good with the sauces added. Fries are seasoned fries and perfectly crispy with all the sauces added. If you like overly sauced foods, you will love this.

Great little hidden gem in a converted house. The katsu was fantastic- great taste and nice crunch on the coating. Loved the sauce combo that was on the meat and rice. Even the Mac salad had a little unexpected something extra in the taste. Definitely recommend and will be back first chance I get next time I’m in town. Look for a few parking spots behind the house and next door.

Had friends recently try Big Kahuna and were impressed. Being from California and missing Hawaiian/Asian food, I thought this is a no-brainer for me. There is plenty of seating with a fairly large upstairs area. Menu consists of traditional Island food–Spam and Eggs, Loco Moco, Katsu, Kahlua Pork, Mahi, Spam Musubi. I ordered the Loco Moco and Spam Musubi. Great portion size. The rice was perfectly sticky. Prices very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was very clean. The only knock is the parking. Back lot only has a few spaces. Fortunately there is parking nearby. Great to have this in Lexington!

The musubi is delicious. It’s appropriate for the price but its enough to try for one person. Nice balance of saltiness and sweetness in it
Also got the Mahi Plate. The Blackened Mahi dressed with spicy mayo is nice. Flavorful mahi and seasoned well but a little bit on the more dry side. The sticky rice has a good texture. The macaroni salad is good too. Not too wet. Perfect texture but it needs seasoning. The spicy mayo & eel sauce with the rice.

Awesome food. I lived on Oahu for 5 years and I’m not sure I had food this good while on the island. I’ve been to this restaurant a couple times now and always a good experience. Seating is limited so consider take out.

very tasty burger, with some very good barbecue sauce. fries were just ok but good in the sauce. this place has a lot of unique offerings, friends i came with had katsu and teriyaki and apparently it was very good. parking is a bit strange, but atmosphere inside is pretty cozy if simple.

It’s a small restaurant with not a lot of seating but that is no big deal compared to the food they are making. I had the loco moco and man was it good. Everything from the eggs to the rice was perfect. And the Mac salad is something I could eat till I’m sick! I live in Louisville but I will be making the drive back to Lexington to eat here again!

I was so excited to try this place after seeing a viral TikTok video. This food was absolutely disgusting. They do not know how to season food so instead they put tons of sweet sauces on your food. Which makes it look very appealing. Once you bite in you realize the actual food has no taste and all your tasting is the globs of sugary sauce they put on your food. The Mac salad is absolutely distracting. I know fish is in it. But it seriously taste like they just grabbed a dead fish and tossed it in. I honestly had to hold myself back from puking while I was trying to eat. The prices for the quality of food you get isn’t there. Save your money and go somewhere else.
