All visits arriving by boat or jet ski. The good news are the dock hands ready willing and willing and able to help you get rafted up if need be.
On this last visit we met the hostess and were quickly seated outside by the water.
It was a great table and close to the live music. Great music BTW. Seems to happen every Saturday and Sunday.
The menu is extensive. The menu is available to view online before you arrive to check out if it suits your fancy.
We tried Grouper Bites, Seafood Gumbo, Fish Tacos, Shrimp and Grits & Chicken Caesar Salad. I saw a table over a group enjoying the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich with vanilla ice cream in the middle. The cookie comes out heated and the ice cream is obviously in the middle. Deeeelicious. I wish I had skipped the entrees and went straight to dessert. It’s a really neat place to go and all of us had a great meal together at a wonderful location.
We will be going back again soon I promise.
We sat outside under the tent and the restaurant was full and the atmosphere was nice. Our server Tom was patient and helpful with the elderly couple I was there with. We ordered the steak, fish sandwich and blackened founder. The food was all so good and we got dessert to go. The peanut butter pie is delicious!
Boat dock for patrons only. Outside seating offered in covered area, dock area, and tables under the trees. Surrounded by the most lavish, beautiful residences, the drive in and out is a treat.
Gator tail appetizer was outstanding! Salmon BLT sandwich and Fried Oyster ‘Po Boy sandwich were also very good.
Not your average side dishes, prepared with attention to every detail. Creamy, flavorful grits and lemony collard greens add a nice flair.
Check the daily specials board when you come in, they’re sure to please.
Park as we came into the parking lot we parked ourselves and did not avail ourselves to the complimentary valet parking. We were promptly greeted and seated. We were directed to a table outside in a covered area. I wanted to sit closer to the water so I requested to be seated towards the back. We were seated at a picnic table, there was some construction going on at the lot next door too much dust and noise drove us back to the covered area in the restaurant. The place was modestly decorated for Christmas. The charm of this place is the bright and airy feel it has. It clearly has an upscale atmosphere. The staff is courteous and busy. The place was doing brisk business as most of the tables were taken. I ordered the fried green tomatoes that came with a red remoulade sauce. I found the sauce a bit vinegary lacking in flavors, I would have preferred a choice of an aioli sauce instead. The tomatoes were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside still they lacked a certain kick that makes this type of dish pop. My companion had a salad with shrimp that she seemed to enjoy. I would go back to try some of their more substantial dishes another time. It is a fine place to have a leisurely lunch by the water and take in the ambience. I believe the place would be beautiful at night as well.
