Their staff was nice enough, but the food was meh.. which was interesting because earlier in the year we ate at their other location and it was amazing. The pancakes were a bit rubbery, the hash browns overcooked a bit, and the corned beef hash was good, but ridiculously expensive (over $7 for a few tablespoons worth). Also, they had ceiling fans running on high in January, and they couldn’t lower them. We actually had to move tables to be comfortable.

Again, the staff was very nice, but if given the choice, I’d go to the other location next time (they were closed).

This place should not be named after pancakes by any means. If you enjoy cardboard that taste like baking soda, you’ll love them. I also had my food delivered with a lovely beard hair in the eggs. They did refund me for my one meal but not the extra hash browns I ordered which didn’t feel like great customer service after I lost my appetite. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, the price didn’t match the quality either.

Excellent food. We loved the gyro omelet (+Feta), the breakfast quesadilla special, and fruit-piled waffles. The smothered hashbrowns are great. The staff are friendly.

This place is not for me. A lot of people seem to like it in here, but I really did not, from the ordering to the food. Seems like a good staff and all that, it just wasn’t a fit. I got the breakfast bowl with hash browns, and their version of hash browns is what I call scalloped potatoes, and the mix of flavors of eggs and brown gravy and all was not something I cared for. My kid’s scrambled eggs, and mine I think, were not cooked all the way, and it just grosses us out. My biscuit was standard but a bit dry, for me anyway. Otherwise my kid liked the pancake enough and my wife seemed to like the French toast, so it probably mostly depends on what you choose to order. I also just don’t care for ordering at the counter, it feels rushed to me. So, yeah, fine, just not somewhere I’d go back myself. And then they have at least 5 air conditioner units outside including one you run into when you leave the exit door, just a little odd to me.

My wife got bacon on her plate it was only half cooked very fatty. She asked the waitress if she could exchange for sausage cause she was unable to eat uncooked bacon. The waitress first asked what was wrong with the bacon she had, then said she could get sausage at an additional cost. Which at the cost of the food here we thought was unacceptable. Not much to ask to keep a customer happy. And then also we got a side of hashbrowns n they were just big cuts of potatoes that weren’t cooked very much either. Then another waitress walked by n asked how was everything good? My wife replied NO n she looked the otherway n kept walking not even asking why? This place just herds you in n out the backdoor you go when your done. Not much customer service. An older gentleman did come by n ask if we needed any more coffee. I would give zero stars if i could!

This was our first time trying this Stack ’em High. There are 2 in Outer Banks and they are not related.

This one is more centrally located. They serve at your table, but the prices are not as good and neither is the food. It will do, but not a huge fan.

We are from East Texas, and love to scope out mom & pop diners. This diners was super fun, and the pancakes were spectacular. I had blueberry banana pancakes (plus eggs and bacon) and they were delicious ! For being in a resort town, the price was reasonable…what I would have paid for food near our home.

The staff was swift, courteous, adorable, and did a wonderful job!

I loved the way everyone in the restaurant interacted with each other! Friendly and homey! The restaurant was clean.

Cute diner, took my Mom here for breakfast while on vacation. Friendly and welcoming staff. Food was hot, fresh and fast. Owner said hello and goodbye. Waitress was sweet. Offered refills a few times. The place was cute and decorated nicely. Glad we decided to give them a try. Definitely a good spot for breakfast.

My wife and I had breakfast for about $26.00. Make sure you grab a tray and silverware first if you’ve never been there. Then, order your food at the register, then sit at any table to wait for your food. They will bring you your drinks if you order hot drinks. We had the coffee. They do not have flavored creamer. I had 3 pancakes and sausage links. She had bacon and French toast. The food was really good, but I wish I had gotten a little more. The rest rooms were clean. The place had plenty of tables. Very good waitresses. The walls are decorative. Plenty of parking.
