I want to start by saying I have been going here for years. The last few times I have gone have been underwhelming to say the least! I have always appreciated that they offer a vegan menu and tonight I was excited to see they now have a vegan elote corn wrap.

Anyone who knows what elote is, knows that corn is (supposed to be) the star ingredient with mayo and other spices. It was not anything like that though! It was a poorly wrapped dry tortilla with romaine lettuce, a few black beans and a few pieces of corn. I am so disappointed, especially since all items are priced like they are at least 5 star quality. $22 for a poorly put together lettuce in a tortilla is just ridiculous. Again the last time I went the food was so disappointing and LESS than mediocre even. I just thought it was a one off and let it go. I used to love this place and it’s so sad to see the quality go down the drain.

On another note, our server was super nice, however, we did have to go up to the bar to request a refill on our drinks. About midway through eating our meal the lady sitting next to us started having a coughing attack basically coughing all over our friend who quickly moved his seat to get away from her. She didn’t excuse herself from hacking all over everyone or go to the restroom, she just continued hacking away while people were literally eating next to her table.

To top it all off, the television that was located right behind us started BLARING so loud that we had to yell to even hear each other. We asked our server about it who sheepishly said the people next to us (the hacking/coughing lady and her date who weren’t even watching the television) requested that the volume be blasted up even though that was not the TV they were even watching! We tried moving ourselves to get away from it but it was just too loud.

This was the worst experience! Now that I have had 2 instances in a row with this place, I doubt I will be going back or at least I won’t be ordering their overpriced nasty food if I do!

I’m not one to leave reviews but I felt compelled to leave a review about this. Especially since this used to be a high quality place to dine. Unfortunately it’s just gone down the tubes!

Tara is so awesome!! Pretty much the best server anyone could ask for. She’s always busy but does great checking in with customers and making sure they feel welcome.
Also excellent food here and great vegetarian options. Always leave satisfied. Thanks Tara and the whole team!!

I have been coming here since they opened back in 2013. In all of these years, I have never been disappointed with the food or service. From the iconic Mac & Cheese (a’la carte or on the Mac Daddy Paddy Melt), to limited options like the PB&J Burger and Mozz Sticks (pleaseeeee bring them back) to the amazing new brunch menu, I have always found something delicious, unique and filling. They have great gluten-free and vegan options, and it allows so many more fun and unique dining options, and it gives a high-quality dining option for our friends who have some dietary restrictions.

Lately I have made it a point (pun intended) to come for brunch every weekend as their new menu has knocked it out of the park. I cannot praise the Chicken Fried Steak enough, espcially paired with a delicious $2 mugmosa.

The atmosphere and layout are so great and versatile. Whether it is getting to enjoy beautiful weather and bring the puppers out to the cool outdoor patio, to having a birthday dinner in the dining room, or having a drink and watching a game on a TV on the Pub side, the layout has something for everybody. I’ve even rented out the upstairs banquet space for several corporate events and parties. Their catering options were great for when we couldn’t have events onsite and still wanted to be able to enjoy dishes like mac & cheese or onion rings.

The staff throughout the years has always been so great, but the Brunch team seem to work extra hard taking care of the Brunch crowd. Isaac (Issac, I never know which letter has 2 in that name, sorry), Malik, Desiree and April all have helped me when I come I’m for Brunch and I’ve never needed to wait for anything, even when they are super hopping. The manager Keri obviously does a great job helping to lead such an awesome team, and you can tell by the atmosphere and the attitude of everybody here that they love what they do, and have great leadership at the helm. Becky, one of the owners has done a great job building up her leadership and team.

The Point truly is a special business and unique dining option not just in Southern Oregon, but truly is a cornerstone of Downtown Central Point. If you are looking for a delicious, fun meal in a great place, get on down to the Point!

Service was really good, food was pretty good. I was there for a corporate party, so I only sampled a small bit of fare. Three of 4 entree’s were pretty decent. One was penne/cheese pasta that cooled very quickly and lacked any flavor. Staff were very friendly, which is always my main concern. Happy Hour drink prices were outrageous! $11 for a Long Island! I bought my wife the same grog a week earlier at a national burger chain that charged $8.99 during regular hours that had more alcohol. Here’s the thing… Overhead for restaurants/pubs has been THROUGH THE ROOF for many years now, especially for the non corporate independent entities that have the guts to try and make a profit in this state. That being said, based on friendly smiling staff, I must thank “The Point” for an overall great experience!!! My advice to them, is to keep “fighting the good fight,” and continue to be an inspiration to EVERY STRUGGLING SMALL BUSINESS out there!!!

what happened to the Point? was a great place to eat. It has been a while since we went there, but today was terrible. Medium hamburgers came out extra well done and just above ambient temperature, fries were just cold. I have never had this kind of meal before at The Point, won’t be back anytime soon.

Sometimes everything is nice and sometimes it’s just so so. It’s not good enough to look forward to just a place to go if you’re really hungry and line in the area. And that’s sad. It’s a very old building with lots of history. They’ve tried to keep that atmosphere alive but unfortunately it’s not enough for my friends and I to continue going here.

Food 3, atmosphere, service and cold beer 5.
Mac daddy patty melt came with a frozen undersized patty that was cooked on the outside but raw on the inside. really good garlic fries!
Blue cheese, bacon salmon salad was very good.
I would suggest ordering something fried like the Irish nachos and sharing a pitcher of good beer here. The kolsch beer hit the spot.

I’m saying 2.5 stars. Food quality has gradually gone downhill and become inconsistent while prices keep going up. Last time we went, kids meal is $10 and there are two small chicken strips. Other entrees we orders were mediocre. Being greeted after sitting took a long time as did the overall service. Pretty big bummer, being a Central Point local we saw this place in its prime and loved going. Now will only go for a quick beer and small appetizer.

Burgers were dry overcooked tasted like Costco patties. Toppings and bun were good, fresh. Fries were undercooked. Asked for sweet potato fries, got regular fries. Service was average. Guess there’s a reason restaurant was almost deserted on a Tuesday at lunch. Food was out quickly but would have preferred a fresh patty. Definitely not worth $22 for their burger. Patty didn’t match up to the fresh bun and toppings, which makes for a meh burger.
