Rosewood Grill is a very elegant looking restaurant. With food that matches with both an excellent dinner and brunch service. Highlights of brunch include the monkey bread which is a must do but be warned it does have limited availability. Also the Cleveland Hash is very good as well. Drinks here are pretty well balanced they do tend to lean a little sweet though. But the service is exceptional the servers here really take care of the tables. Plates as soon as you are done leave the table. You rarely see a dirty dish sitting for long. I will say this place is kind of hidden away being in the basement of a building. There was no wait for us when we was here. There was also plenty of parking with its own dedicated parking lot.

I want to express my sincerest compliments to the entire staff here. From start to finish, everything was phenomenal for my wife’s birthday dinner. Our server, Gabby, was excellent and funny and told us about their amazing specials. My wife had their shrimp appetizer when she said was superb as well as the lobster bisque for starters. For our main course, she had the double lobster tails (one of their specials) and I had the Delmonico steak which just melted in my mouth. The chef cooked it perfectly to just a hint below medium. We also had cocktails which came out with an amazing presentation. To top it all off, Gabby brought my out a homemade brownie that was divine. Now she wants to go here every year for her birthday. Kudos to the staff again– we will be back!

Went to dinner for Valentine’s Day, first time trying rosewood. Our waitress Mia was so sweet and knowledgeable of the menu and this rating has nothing to do with her as she was wonderful! … I’m beyond disappointed with the food! Way overpriced for BLAND food with small portions! I felt like I was eating a meal at a nursing home and I might as well have visited my grandmother and done just that because whoever the chef is, cooks as if everyone is watching their sodium. I’ve seen 1 star reviews for this place back 4+ years speaking of BLAND food and poor cooking and serving sizes… so when will you be getting a GOOD chef?? Seems like you just reply with the same copy and pasted response to poor reviews stating how you care and to email whoever.. blah blah blah.. maybe just.. take the criticism and fire your chef?? $105 before tip to be completely disappointed when I could’ve gone to my favorite restaurant for that price instead. (Also my bf’s plate across the table with the THREE shrimp and THREE scallops and some sad risotto for $45 is actually insane, especially since it wasn’t good!)

Service was fantastic—friendly and helpful; had knowledge of the menu. Atmosphere was nice but very loud. You have to be loud when you are talking so the other person can hear you. The food was good but not great. For the price I expected more. The filet was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes were ok but nothing special; not much flavor. The prime rib was tough. We couldn’t even cut it and I was sawing at it with all my strength. They did allow us to get something else. The dessert was really good. Portion sizes are good. Overall I liked it but probably won’t go back. For the price I rather have Texas Roadhouse. They have more sides to pick from and the food has flavor.

For peasants like myself, this is a special occasion location! We actually were gifted a gift card from family, and finally enjoyed a date night.
The vibe of the place is fantastic, and the service is wonderful. The food is AMAZING! My fiancé and I each enjoyed a cocktail, a small main dish and a side (came to just over $100, so again, a specialty place unless you make better money than us, but if you can swing it, do it!). We raved about the food for the rest of the evening!
Cocktails: blood orange sangria and a tropical mule
Food: seasonal kale salad with added salmon, side of chili glazed Brussels sprouts; Au Jus sandwich with rosemary fries and a side of lobster mashed potatoes. All incredible.

The food was amazing! The service was perfect it was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. It was so good! The ambiance was perfect for a date night. The cocktails were amazing, especially the manhattan, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Despite being very busy, we never felt rushed and we were treated as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. Highly recommend this place! Walleye and devils eggs are a must-try.

Went today to try out the new brunch menu. Getting the Cleveland Hash was a great decision. It tasted amazing. My waitress Teresa was amazing as well. Manager James and GM Sharon also stopped and talked for a moment and made sure everything was great. I will be coming back to try more on the new menu.

Christmas Eve Experience

We made a reservation weeks in advance for Christmas Eve at 4:45 PM for a party of four. We did not request anything special—just a standard dining reservation.

Upon arrival, we were seated in a back private room at a very long table clearly set for 12+ people, even though there were only four of us. The room had no music, no atmosphere, and no interaction with the main dining area, which felt isolating—especially for a holiday evening.

After being seated, no menus were provided. We waited over 10 minutes before I finally got up myself to retrieve menus. Another 10 minutes passed before my husband had to get up and ask if someone could help us with water and drinks.

We asked if it was possible to move to the main dining area, as we saw available tables for four. We were told no. We even offered to share the large table with another party, seated far from us, but were told that wasn’t possible due to uncertainty about how long we would be there.

I don’t believe this was the server’s fault—she had a great attitude and appeared to be working extremely hard—but we were clearly out of sight and out of mind being placed in a separate area.

As for the food:
• Two guests ordered salads with a side of chicken. One chicken was fine; the other was completely burnt and essentially inedible (photo attached). It should not have been served.
• Another guest ordered the filet with crab and sauce. The dish arrived without the sauce, requiring an additional 10-minute wait for correction.
•. My own meal, which was salmon and broccoli with a side of spinach instead of rice pilaf. The broccoli was way too salty. I could barely eat it. There was so much salt on it. The salmon was good and cooked correctly. The spinach was pretty good too. I also had the lobster bisque which was basically or cream and tomato with very little to no lobster in it at all. It too was overly salted.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience—especially for Christmas Eve and an early reservation. We expected attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere and unfortunately received neither.

First time here. We stopped in coming back from Aurora shopping. We got there early before it got busy.
I ordered the filet and wanted some fish with it. But after I placed my order I was informed my add on wasn’t available. Caesar salad had NO dressing and it was super basic.
I’m not sure if I’m just super spoiled eating Dumas ribeyes all the time. (The absolute best in the area)……But the filet I received cut more like a sirloin. The texture wasn’t great either. Maybe just a bad cut??
The potatoes had an odd aftertaste too.
I wouldn’t get again. For the area, price point and ambiance— I truly expected better food.
I believe as a non drinker- they count on a tipsy diner, because the food is lacking.
I would give them another shot. But I honestly had better expectations for this place.

Went here for Christmas Eve. It was the loudest restaurant I’ve ever been in. Server was great! Calamari and buffalo chicken apps were good. 3 of the 4 meals were good but the prime rib is AWFUL. It was inedible. I expect some fat around the meat but the entire piece had fat in it. Couldn’t find a good piece. Waste of 42.00. Told server and she apologized but still keep it on the bill. I literally ate 10% of it. Will not be back and we used to go a couple times per year
