From the moment you walk into this ramen spot, you know you’re in for something special. The warm, comforting aroma of simmering broth greets you before you even sit down, and the energy inside strikes that perfect balance between cozy and lively.

I ordered the spicy pork ramen, and it was perfection. The broth was rich, creamy, and layered with flavor — clearly simmered for hours — yet not overly heavy. The noodles were springy and cooked just right, soaking up the broth without losing their bite. The chashu pork practically melted in my mouth, and every topping — from the marinated egg to the crisp green onions — was perfectly balanced.

Service was fast and genuinely friendly, and it’s clear the staff take pride in what they serve. Even the small touches stood out: chilled water refilled without asking, spotless tables, and a playlist that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

If you’re a ramen fan (or even if you’ve never had it before), this place sets the standard. Every bowl feels like it was made with care, and you’ll leave already planning your next visit.

Had an amazing happy hour and dinner at Tajima in North Park. The ramen and sushi were absolutely top-tier, and the beer selection was on point. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and perfectly prepared.

Huge shoutout to Aldrin, our bartender and server. Super charismatic, attentive, and genuinely knows the menu. Every recommendation he made was a hit and made the whole experience even better.

10 out of 10 experience. Great food, great drinks, and great service. Highly recommend, and definitely ask for Aldrin if you’re there.

The atmosphere was great. It feels cozy and nice. The food was ok, it does the job filling you up. My son agreed with me that something was missing, I don’t know what, perhaps “Love”. Overall Experience was good. Our waiter was a little forgetful, we had to ask him twice for chopstick helpers for my young son. We were not offered refill on water.

Absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I had the carnitas ramen and loved it, and we also tried the traditional one, which was just as good. For appetizers, we ordered the spicy tuna on sticky rice and the spicy edamame, both were excellent. What really stood out, though, was the service. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend it.

I came at a time when there wasn’t as much help in back, so the food wait was understandable. I’ve come here several times and the food is always generally good, usually no wait. The hot sake has always been a winner, as well as all of the ramen. Service staff is always nice and quick to help. Definitely a favorite. Their seasonal cocktails are also exceptional.

I was in San Diego for the weekend so decided to have ramen. This place had good reviews. Waited upto 15- 20 mins. Good ambience, had to explain the serve was lil unforgetful or maybe new had to repeat 3 times our order since it was customize. It took a while for hot soku to arrive at the table.
Food was really good the only thing I felt was the quantity of broth could’ve been more.

Overall it was nice.

This is one of my favorite ramen places to go to in San Diego. They have many different types for everyone and they’re all delicious. The service and atmosphere are top notch, and their sake is a must have.

Ordered take away with two beers. Both came in plastic bottles and in the same bag with hot soups.

I called and they refunded the beers. However they didn’t say the beers wouldn’t come in the original glass bottles and they didn’t think cold beer should be put in a different bag as a hot soup.

The portion of soup in each order is way smaller than the portion you would normally get dining in.

Pretty mediocre food overall.

Got the spicy sesame ramen. The noodles are sorta mealy and thin so it didn’t give that level of body seen at most other places around town. Also, had to add a lot (A LOT) of extra spice as it was the spicy level of a middle aged Midwestern person who thinks pepper is too hot.

I also got the salmon roll. The structure was pretty shaky as it fell apart upon picking it up. Ended up just taking the salmon out and leaving the rest.

Good service though.

The ramen is just ok. I didn’t expect it to be super authentic but I also didn’t expect it to be below average. The place is vibey. Good spot for a date to have some appetizers and drinks. The service was not great. Server was distracted and apathetic. Made me feel like I wasn’t cool enough to be there.
