Passing through town, we looked for a sit down place to take a break from our drive. This place is near the highway and had a decent looking menu and reasonable reviews, so we stopped in.
We kind of got what we expected. It is a standard diner with all the standards. The menu is actually quite extensive. We were seated immediately and our waitress was very attentive. Food came out very fast.
We ordered a turkey club wrap and a gyro wrap. Both came with a side of fries. The negative was in the turkey wrap: no bacon and no cheese. Only turkey, Lettuce, and a couple of tomato slices. Very dry. The gyro was better but not from a spit. Not quite steak-umms, but clearly warmed up on the griddle. The fries were the coated kind you get in many places.
Good thing service was quick, place was clean, and prices low.

Ok I really need to understand this we have eaten at American table numerous times great place good service very nice my ? Is this going there today am I missing something we walked in the ask table or booth and I said we would like 2 to go orders after the look we left. Should I have called in the orders instead and just picked them up or what. We wanted to order never had an issue before just wanted to make sure I was not mad just a little taken back thats all other than that good place

Waitress was constantly taking plates away without asking if we were finished with them. Daughter had stomache surgery so she would eat a little and then she would have to stop before continuing. Waitress would just swoop in and pick up the plate. She also needs to learn the difference between over easy and over medium. Cause I was right when I told her how I wanted my eggs and she said that its different there.

The fries were delicious. My burger not so much.
I like my meat well done and unfortunately had to send my sandwich back because it was still pink. When it came back it was still pink inside but charred on the outside. I was told that it would be remade which I did not ask for but appreciated. What I did not appreciate was hearing the server yell make it a burnt turd as she walked into the kitchen. It was still not cooked through and was falling apart because it was not a new sandwich. I could not eat it.
The rice pudding was good and the server did comp that off my bill as an apology.
Just over all disappointed. I like to eat in local places when I travel and I love diner style food.
The restaurant was not busy at the time I was in between lunch and dinner. Not sure why it had to go so wrong.

I think that this is the best diner in my area. The menu options are forever ongoing they have so much ! There are a few other diners and they’re good !Everything at American table is very flavorful fresh and fast coming out. Great Service friendly very helpful and affordable. I love American table in Oregon, Ohio.

I like crispy fries and theirs were great! They have a coating on them that gives it crispness. The burger was large and perfectly cooked. Service was fast. Their menu is large. The breakfast menu looks very good and l will be going back to try that.

I love this place. I come here once or twice a week. The waitresses are great and hilarious. The food is home cooked meals. It’s great except for the red sauce. I don’t really like the red sauce. I’ve tried the cabbage the mostaccioli the spaghetti and the red sauce just doesn’t taste good. The owner is a wonderful man. I usually see him on Fridays. You guys should go there if you’re in town or live in town.

The food was a lot and plentiful. It reminded me a lot of star diner with the generous portions and things of that nature. The service was ok and not only that the restaurant was clean and the food was fine for what it was. It’s a nice place for a quick bite.

Very good food, we got the French toast which is amazing. Sausage links are very good. The server was attentive and nice. Could smile more. The hostess was quick and short he could also smile more. But overall definitely will be back. Amazing food

I just moved to Ohio, a few weeks ago, and I cannot tell you how much of a comfort this restaurant is to me.
The food is FANTASTIC, the atmosphere is very comfortable and open, & all the employees are very friendly.
