TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This was my first time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken. It was way better than I expected! Chicken slider was decently sized and tasted great with the Dave’s sauce and coleslaw. Fries are also great and are awesome when dipped in the Dave’s sauce. Jahkiya took my order and was very pleasant and helpful! She even gave me some extra Dave’s Sauce! I’ll certainly be returning soon!

My experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken was really disappointing. The food was horrible — my fries were soggy and wet, and the chicken didn’t taste good at all. I was expecting something crispy and flavorful, but instead it was greasy and bland. Overall, the meal was not worth the money, and I wouldn’t want to eat there again after how bad it was.

We went bold and ordered Dave’s #3 (1 tender + 1 slider with fries) at Reaper spice level, plus mini sliders, fries, and a Coke to balance the fire. And yep you actually have to sign a waiver to try the Reaper. That alone should tell you what kind of heat you’re dealing with. ️
The chicken? Insanely good. Juicy inside, crispy outside, and that Reaper spice hits like a truck in a delicious, tear inducing way. The slider was loaded and flavorful, and even the mini sliders had that same punch. Fries were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and made the whole meal come together.
The vibe inside is modern and chill, service was fast, and the team was super friendly (they even gave us a heads-up about the Reaper heat).
If you’re in the Wayne area and up for a serious flavor bomb this place is a must. Just don’t forget to bring your spice tolerance… and maybe a milkshake.

I ordered the Medium and Mild heat level flavors it was surprisingly not that spicy! The chicken was very juicy and crispy. The french fries had great tasting seasoning on it as well. I recommend getting Dave’s sauce on the side it’s so tasty! Perfect Lunch and Dinner combos that will fill you up! Overall, amazing experience compared to other fast foods definitely coming here again!

I had the Hot chicken slider at Dave’s Hot Chicken on Drake’s birthday, and it was on the house. Let me tell you, this was hands down the best slider I’ve ever had in my life! The chicken was incredible, super juicy, spicy, crispy, and the fact that it’s all halal makes it even better. The place was packed, with long lines, but the service was impressively quick and awesome. We’ve become instant fans and will definitely be back again!

Awesome experience at the Dave’s Hot Chicken location in Wayne. I have had Dave’s a few times in the city, so I had high expectations, and they definitely delivered. Firstly, everything in the establishment was super clean, and despite how busy and crowded it was, the staff kept their cool, and helped each customer quickly and efficiently. The food itself was absolutely delicious, and more of the classic Dave’s you may have had elsewhere. The 2 sliders, chicken, and fries combo was incredible. Also… they are halal! I highly recommend coming by for a visit.

The sauce is really good too and chicken is hot and crispy even after reheating it . soda is unlimited self refill but it’s not part of the meal. Soda is separate.
