Came here at 6am and they had a limited selection, but still decided to get 6 donuts for around $10. Strawberry doughnut was amazing, made from REAL strawberries, no artificial taste. Customer service was also friendly and she had no problem telling us what the odd flavors were (there are no labels). The only downside is that it is located in rough area, and I would not feel safe going alone. Overall I would recommend going, but not early since they did not have all donuts available. Theres also an area where you can see the baker kneading the dough, and its super cool!

I don’t know if I’m spelling her name right, but Liana at DAT Donut was amazing. She was so friendly and welcoming — which honestly made my whole visit better. The energy in customer service really matters, and she definitely stood out. I’ll be back because of her.

It’s a nice spot to grab a bite in the morning. Donuts are fine I guess. Maybe a half a step above Dunkin? They taste of oil and don’t have much icing. Boston Creams are barely filled. As an aside, I heard their glazed yeast donuts are based off of the famous “Round Rock Donuts” in Texas, but they aren’t very similar in case anyone was wondering. Overall, don’t feel like the price was worth it.

My husband and I met in college and would go get donuts from here with friends. When planning our wedding we knew we wanted to incorporate little notes of ‘us’ into the celebration and decided to order big dats in lieu of wedding cake. The ordering process was quick and easy. We had family pick up the order the day of in between the ceremony and the reception without issue.
The big dats were a HUGE hit with our guests! (not to mention they fit with our Lord of the Rings theme -One Ring to Rule Them All)

I just came from there, it’s sad that the food is so amazing and the staff attitude and customer service is so horrible. I often purchase from there not just for me but my family and sometimes I bring donuts for my staff. This morning the young lady was so horrible at basic customer service skills I chose to spend my money else where this morning. I spoke to her 3 times” Ho Hood morning, how are you ? Then again a min later. And then someone else comes in she says ” hey I got your donuts right here. He said am I good . She says yes he leaves. I then ask again because I am the only person in there and said “good morning do you have any apple fritters left and she is standing right there in front of me does not look up does not say anything does not respond. Does not do anything so Said hi good morning do you have any apple fritters left now she looks she still looking down. She ain’t saying that ain’t doing nothing and so then I asked I waved at her and Good morning do you have any apple? Fritters left doing something I’m busy oh I’m so I’m just I’m counting money. Well mama I can’t see what your hands are doing , And then I didn’t realize that counting money didn’t allow for you to say hold on one second sir I’ll be with you or good morning. If you can give me just one second or I’m sorry I’m I’m counting some money right now. I might be with you in a moment many of things she could’ve said her eyes just looked up and acknowledged me and said hey. OK give me two seconds I’m I’m in the middle of something anything Wrong because I’m asking her a question this is your job. Do we feel like you’re paid to greet people and ring them up? It’s not that complicated. It’s not that hard and so if you can’t basically say hello, how are you? What can I get for you then you probably shouldn’t be in the service industry and I’m certainly not gonna continue to spend my money there if people with attitudes are not gonna acknowledge you when you come to the business and I can speak and so as a as a person who owns his own business, I’m gonna say for whoever this is that owns this business. You probably need to do some new development or training for your staff and/or you need to get some new ones one or the other or are you gonna continue to lose customer.

Customer Service is TRASH! I ordered a half dozen of donuts, and she put them all in a bag with different flavors! Lol I would think they would come in a box, even Jewel gives you a box. Then she was irritated when I asked if she could put them in a box as if they were her donuts, then was charged extra for the box! We have to work on this in our community

Wanted to give this place a try since it seemed to be one of the most popular ones for donuts in the area. We got a half dozen donuts (chocolate glazed, strawberry glazed and blueberry) 2 of each. My husband went at a decent time in the morning, around 10ish. Still no chocolate glazed donuts so I got chocolate iced instead.
The donuts were really really good. They tasted fresh and flavorful. But, the 1st thing I noticed when he got back was that they stuffed these 6 donuts into a bag, instead of putting them in a box oooooooookay….. b/c they were packed like this, some of them got messed up in travel.
The croissants they used for the breakfast sandwich tasted like fries! And after reading a few of the other reviews that mention their donuts tasted like bbq, it’s apparent that they use the SAME GREASE to fry the donuts as they do the bbq food and fries…. Disgusting
I’m glad my donuts didn’t taste like bbq but after that experience, I will not be returning. Fresh ingredients at food establishments is key & they majorly missed the mark ♀️
We also got 2 turkey sausage breakfast sandwiches.

Best Doughnuts In Chicago. Trust and believe that! Nothing more to be said here just go ahead and go grab you some of each flavor.. My takeaways was Glaze and the Strawberry doughnut!

What troopers these owners are! What a treat to have fresh donuts in the hood. The dough is delightful! Do carry mace from your car, though. Return for a hoagie or visit Dwayne for delicious BBQ! And they are on the near North side, too, under the train, by the hospital shopping district.
Cinnamon filling definitely could be increased. The rolls are huge, dough fabulous but the filling lacks.
