We stopped in for an early dinner about 4pm on a Saturday. We were seated immediately and quickly served chips and salsa. That’s where the service stopped. We sat there for another 15 minutes and even though there were plenty of people working, no one ever came to take our drink order. After a manager walked by and dropped a plastic ad stand on our table without so much as a hello, my wife finally got fed up and said, Let’s go to Frankie’s where we always get great service.

I have been to this location several times. The service is poor, there are 2 older waiters that have attitude problems. We have to waive for other waiters to help with refills or utensils. The food on this last visit was so bad. We ordered the egg omlete and it’s was very under cooked. The waiter got upset because we asked him for another order. Do not recommend this location. We now exclusively go to the location on Coit and Campbell. The service is amazing, the food is always great.

The food, service and drinks were amazing! I wish I knew our servers name to give him credit but he did a fantastic job with his service. The food was delicious and the drinks were bomb. We ordered the ceviche, poblano enchiladas and the guiso de puerco. It was all so good If you’ve been on the fence of trying this place, we think you should give it a try at least! You wont be disappointed.

Came for lunch with a coworker and we were immediately seated. There were few customers in the restaurant so the service was prompt. I ordered the table side guacamole and it didn’t come in an el molcajete – it appeared to have been premade guacamole – didn’t enjoy. The tortilla soup bowl was severely lacking and I wouldn’t recommend anyone order it. Just broth with large chunks of melted cheese and avocado slices. I did try my coworkers chicken quesadillas and I liked that.

Overall, I wouldn’t return.

On 2026.02.27 Placed a pick up order at 6.09p with an indicated ready time of 6.29p. Arrived at about 6.20p. Order wasn’t ready until almost 7.00p. Received an SMS that the order was ready, went to the host station and they said that it was not ready despite the SMS. I understand they were busy, however, as I waited the table across from the bench was seated, ordered and had their order served while I was still waiting!

Nothing was offered to ease the pain of the extended delay.

While the food is good the pick up service is horrible! I would not recommend for take away. And after this fault in service not sure I would visit for dine in.

And the order was not correct. One order was placed with no onions, but there were onions. Did not contact the restaurant as it was already very behind schedule for dinner and couldn’t afford to wait another hour for a replacement!

Parking was also a hassle, there didn’t seem to be any pick up order reserved spots – possibly because the time to wait for a pick up order might exceed the time to dine in!

Wow, first time trying out this spot and it did not disappoint. Came from a quick drink and appetizers. Had Manny’s Uptown Platter and everything was delicious. The brisket was very tender and flavorful. The chicken was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. It is well worth the cost and I would say enough food for 2 as meal. A family of 4 would enjoy this as a great starter to any meal. Both the pineapple and watermelon margarita were spot on I will definitely return. This is sure to be a family favorite.

Been here so many times and have ordered so many different things, overall great restaurant. Favorites are the chimichangas and their quesadillas. Very flavorful, and meat is not dry. Filling portions. Also, their guacamole is phenomenal. Freshly made. Weakest point is the free salsa that comes with chips as a starter, not very flavorful and a bit too watery, but not terrible. Service wise, I’ve always had great waiters, and their managers are very professional and caring. I will keep coming back

We went to eat at Manny’s Tex-Mex today. I ordered the chile relleno, but the ranchero sauce tasted like marinara, which I did not like. I asked the server if it was possible to have the plate remade. He said yes, but what was brought (less than two minutes after he took my plate) back was not a new plate—it was the same chile relleno with the sauce simply wiped off. To make matters worse, the poblano was delivered flipped upside down, clearly to hide the sauce residue on the chicken. You can still see the sauce residue in between the beans and rice (as shown in my photo).

Don’t get me wrong—the food is good—but they lack proper attention to customer service. We also had to ask for refills rather than the server bringing them proactively, and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy at the time. As a restaurant, it would have been appropriate to properly remake the dish to address my concern, rather than simply wiping off the sauce and flipping the plate, which felt deceptive and unprofessional.
This experience was extremely disappointing.

If the dish was not going to be remade, the staff should have communicated that honestly.
