Excellent restaurant. Super service from Miguel, Reyes and Carlos. The filet mignon was seared to perfection. Garlic mashed potatoes delicious. Needed more spinach with our steaks. Jumbo Shrimp wrapped in ham with asparagus and mango was a hearty appetizer. Tried 4 different wines that were paired well with our meal. The complementary bread could have been baked a bit longer, it was too chewy.
Very nice atmosphere. Overall it was our best dining experience in Cozumel.

What a great little hidden gem! From the second we arrived, we were treated like VIP’s, the servers were so attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent, including the Filet Mignon(which is not easy in Mexico). It was our anniversary, so they surprised us with a special dessert! The owner was there, and she is absolutely lovely, and well liked by her staff, which means she must treat them well! We can’t wait until next year to visit!

This was our first visit to La Cocay and we were not disappointed! The staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious and presentation was incredible. We would highly recommend and will make it a regular stop during future trips to the island!

Typically in Mexico I want tacos and authentic Mexican food. But after 10 days here, I need to change it up and I’m soooo glad we found this gem. Great staff, huge portions and great service and the food was amazing. I had leftovers for 2 meals!!! Super affordable if you don’t have alcohol. Desert was delicious. We’ll make this restaurant one of our local favs!!! It’s also very boujie if you want to dress up for a fancy occasion. If you’ve had your fill of tacos and ready for some authentic Italian cuisine, yeah- you’ll appreciate La Cocay!!! We definitely recommend it!!!

Everything about La Cocay is wonderful. The ambience is romantic, but accessible, the servers are kind and competent and the food is incredible. The value is also very good. It’s not the cheapest on the island, but it is far superior than most. The octopus is fantastic and all of the pastas are wonderful. Be sure to get a salad as well. Our favorite server is Miguel. He’s been there for a long time and is always so kind to us. We will come back every single trip as we have done for the last 10 years.

Maybe we had expectations that were a bit too high after reading all the great reviews, but unfortunately we were left disappointed. The food was beautifully presented, however we both found it lacking in flavour. We also felt quite rushed — the entrée arrived within five minutes of ordering, and we were finished within an hour after ordering entrées, mains, and a bottle of wine. Finally, we also would have appreciated fresh cutlery being provided for the mains.

La Cocay was a wonderful dining experience in Cozumel. The ambiance is warm, intimate, and beautifully inviting. We started with the garlic bread perfectly toasted, flavorful, and delicious. The fish of the day was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor.
Service was attentive and genuinely kind, making the entire evening feel relaxed and special. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a lovely atmosphere. Would absolutely return. ✨ ️

This place is worth the hype. Had the Surf & Turf, absolutely delicious and the atmosphere + service make this a must try. My server Miguel also made this very memorable 🙂 thank you

Another year, another fantastic evening at La Cocay. Two of us shared two appetizers (grilled octopus & goat cheese empanadas with mango chutney), entree of bacon-wrapped chicken, stuffed with goat cheese. Along with a complimentary parmesan flatbread, it was more than enough food. Three drinks. All for $80. Service as usual is outstanding as was the decor. If you’re a “foodie”, this is a must-stop venue.

Miguel and Reyes took such great care of our large group! They told us about special tequila and then they just brought it to our table for everyone to try. The drinks are served in the classic pottery style mugs, which is cool! We had the special seafood platter which was a $100 but it was enough to feed 4 people. They had a nice little jungle area where we could go snap some family photos. We ordered a couple deserts to share and they threw in another one for free! It was our first time here and I would definitely go back!!
