So I have had the pleasure of enjoying authentic cuban food all my life till recently . While visiting numerous states across America I have had mainly one dish . Picadillo hamburger meat rice beans negro of course and plantains. I can’t say that I have enjoyed any of the places I have had food at . So I will be honest the meat was salty about a cup of grease fat not drained from meat instead left in meat and sadly the plantains were soaked in it nasty . Rice was OK black beans watery and tearfully tasteless . I grew up with Cubans and the food that I love . I think what happened is that the ones who moved outside florida have lost the way . You see you can sell someone cubam food that truly hadn’t tasted the authentic flavors started in a kitchen at home and they will eat it as great but no it’s not authentic .

Came in on a Sunday morning eager to have some Cuban breakfast and was truly disappointed. I should have looked around for a different Cuban place. They didn’t have half the menu so I couldn’t get pan con bistec or ropa vieja sandwich. Settled for a breakfast sandwich ham, bacon, egg on a roll with fries. Nasty, the fries were cold the ham stunk literally the roll was cold and my cafe con leche wasn’t even good. They were already open for an hour and a half and nothing ready. 60 dollars gone to waste. Very disappointed.

This place is a lifesaver. I stay close by during my week stay and I was traveling every day for 3+ hours. I needed a strong breakfast but not fast food. This was the best combinations of flavor product and availability. Food is fresh staff is helpful and cheerful and the food is as good as homemade. Next time in vegas I will give be there again.

Not bad. Not good. Cafeteria food. I’m an American Cuban and was a little disappointed because my Cuban Uber driver recommended it. Look if you’re from Miami this place is like those standard Hialeah cafeterias. It’s mid. The rope vieja was tasty but not hot. If you’re from Cuba, you will love this place probably. Best part: The beans and plantains were great.

Update: 11/29. Went back for the lechon. Much more tender, fresh. See photos. I’ve been here before a few times, but this is my first review. I’ve had the Lechon roasted pork, rice beans, and other side dishes but today I decided to have the roasted chicken which was not moist, but not too dry. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite meal. I would definitely go for the ground beef or the pork next time versus the chicken. The service is as friendly as it can be. I guess could be friendlier, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s a Cuban thing.

The food was amazing! The staff was so wonderful and helpful! The prices are affordable and the ambiance is perfect. We loved the place so much my family and I went back the next day for lunch. I recommend you get the yuca with the garlic and onion sauce it smells and tastes great. Service was lacking if at all present. Stood there at the counter for a couple minutes with a staff person with their back towards us only to have someone come from the back and ask the other staff “what do these people want?” in Spanish. I don’t look like I speak Spanish, but I answer in Spanish that I was hoping to place an order. That was red flag #1! Food was below average. Ordered a Cuban sandwich which tasted like it was soaked in vinegar, and blackened lettuce. Took 2 bites! Also ordered tostones which were cut so thick and was probably in the heat for less than needed. Service was poor the looked more annoyed than anything with every question. They would just point to the menu when asked any questions.

This is the real deal! I love Cuban food and I always try any restaurants I can find that serve it.
The service is good the staff is friendly and the food tastes great!! Try the pork. Ok try it all. You can not go wrong and it’s a he’ll of lot less expensive than catching a flight to Miami for Authentic food. Lol. Let me know what you think when you go there.
