Gallas used to be our favorite local pizza place, but the pizzas have been seriously lacking lately.

We ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni, and the amount of cheese on it was a joke. There were several spots that were just bread and sauce with no cheese at all, and the crust was almost burned. I had to add cheese that I had in my fridge to the pizza and put it in our toaster oven to get my kids to eat it. For $19.50, I definitely shouldn’t have to doctor my pizza so that it’s not just bread and sauce.

We used to love that Gallas was so generous with their cheese and toppings, but they’re clearly skimping on toppings these days. The cheese was lacking the last time we ordered, but I thought it was just a fluke- clearly not. Bummer that the quality has seriously declined.

The pizza is a little different because they cut it into squares but my kids loved it.

The wings were great.

Parking is a little tight but there is a good bit of room inside the restaurant to eat.

Everyone was really nice and other employees even helped to make sure we had everything we needed.

Watching the people at the bar drinking their wine and beers and talking, it just seemed like a good atmosphere with a bunch of regulars enjoying their sat afternoon watching Georgia play.

Prices are fair I feel and I think the service justifies any prices that might be a little higher than normal.

We would go back

We’ve been going to Gallas for years. Today they completely dropped the ball on making a simple pepperoni pizza.

The last time we went, my wife and I agreed it was one of the best pepperoni pizzas we’ve ever had.

Today- different story. Whoever made this pizza skimped on both pepperoni and cheese. I sent it back asking to have them add more cheese. It came back with little if any more cheese and no more pepperoni. Unacceptable.

I talked to the server who was very nice. No complaints about him. He told me to leave this review. He also stated that maybe I should come back after 4, as the day shift might be the problem.

Bad food experience. How simple is making a pepperoni pizza??!! I had driven out of my way to go to Gallas. Never again. Someone needs to tell the kitchen staff to not skimp on simple ingredients.

Maybe they should call it thinly coated
tomato toast.

Visited for lunch. We sat at the bar and service was excellent. We tried “the works” pizza and a garden side salad. The pizza was delicious. Had a homemade taste. Definitely fresh ingredients. Salad was equally good and I enjoyed their vinaigrette dressing that comes with it. Parking was easy but might be an issue at popular times. Overall we enjoyed the food but it was a bit pricey for pizza.

My husband and I live near downtown Atlanta but had to make our monthly excursion to Costco this afternoon. We had some extra time, so we drove a few blocks north to Galla’s for a late lunch. The bartender and servers were all extremely friendly and outgoing, and the pizza was DELICIOUS! Thanks, y’all!

Came here tonight for the first time with 4 other couple friends + 2 kids. They were quick to help and accommodate our group to combine tables and get high chairs despite it being a seat yourself place and getting busy. The staff was very welcoming and kind – this was the biggest highlight. Food tasted great as well, love the feel of the restaurant. Definitely a home town pizza-joint vibe, we’re big fans now. Pizza was great & Wings impressed me as well. Will be back to try out more.

Table for 3; Lunch with visiting mother-in-law
As we approached the pizzeria, we noticed they had an attached parking lot. It wasn’t huge, but we quickly found an available spot. We arrived about an hour after opening on a Sunday, so it wasn’t packed—plenty of space for a mid-sized lot. We noticed a few tables outside, but with Georgia pollen everywhere we decided to sit inside. Walking in, we were greeted warmly and informed we could seat ourselves. After scanning the newly renovated and spacious dining room, we found a booth along the far wall, opposite the bar. Our server came over quickly, provided us with menus, and brought waters soon after. Wifey and I checked out the beer selection. The menu featured many of the usual suspects but also suggested asking about some rotating craft choices. Wifey ordered a Blue Moon, and I was about to go with a Creature Comforts Tropicalia when the manager mentioned he had a Double Hazy from Parrish Brewing available. I took his recommendation, and I’m glad I did! My mother-in-law opted for a ginger ale. We took our time reviewing the extensive food selections. Wifey went with her favorite Margherita pizza, her mom ordered a plain cheese, and I built my own pie with chicken, onions, and jalapeños. We all ordered the “Mini,” which is their personal pan pizza size with about four slices. Sean, the manager, came over again to check on us and chat for a bit. My mother-in-law mentioned wanting to come back when she’s in town in September. He advised that would be right in the heart of football season and that Galla’s is home to the Atlanta Buffalo Bills fans. We won’t hold that against them, and we’ll definitely return—especially since they have TVs everywhere, perfect for watching the games. She also said the place gave her a nostalgic feel, reminding her of her teenage years—the only thing missing was an old school jukebox on the table! Overall, it was a great 1st visit to Galla’s. We will definitely be back to try some other menu items. Sean and our server Gabby were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I was a big fan of the crust—super crunchy and flavorful.

Nice sit down restaurant.. pizza and atmosphere reminds me a lot of Elbow Room in Buckhead but more familiar friendly. The fries taste frozen and the chicken sandwich is a little pricey. Mozzarella sticks are good. Pepperoni pizza is greasy. That’s my review. Thanks

I ordered a few weeks ago anticipating the store may be a little busy because of Super Bowl. This was my first time trying this pizza place and I probably should have gone with the more traditional pizza places for my Super Bowl event. They allow ezcater to deliver their orders and I was ok with that. However, when my person went to pick up my order from the location, she had issues with picking it up. I do understand that owning a restaurant is difficult especially during busy times and sometimes good help is hard to find. With that being said, whoever was the person assisting guests was rude not only to my Ezcater driver but also to my roommate who had to leave our party and go pick up the other half of our order. By the time the pizza arrived it was cold and we only received the pizza and half of the wings. The order was supposed to include pizza, wings, salad and a tray of cookies. With all of the problems and the person at the front acting like the soup Nazi (Seinfeld reference), I would have expected for the food to be great but it was subpar. Maybe other people have had better experiences, but for this to be my first encounter, I can’t agree with other reviewers. If I can help it, I will not be recommending or being a customer to this place. It was not the best first impression.

We used to come before the remodel and now it’s even better! The Christmas decor is beautiful and better than most places I’ve been!! The pizza (even GF) is awesome as always! We are from Buffalo and LOVE LOVE LOVE that this is a Bills Backers bar!!!

Parking can be a challenge, they could put up a sign for alternative parking options, or list or on the FB page. It is self seating, first come first serve – So just know when you walk in as there is just a really small sign on the counter. With all the customers it can be a little confusing…

All in all the experience was FANTASTIC, the staff was SUPER friendly and the food was GREAT!! Check out the newly remodeled space!
