Came from out of state to visit with my uncle and he made a good selection in choosing this restaurant for our family lunch. Our hostess, Nesha, provided excellent and courteous service and the environment was busy and lively. Between the ox tail and seafood to the potato salad and cornbread, all of the food tasted great.
They are handicap accessible and can also accommodate dietary restrictions with things like their vegetarian friendly food options.
A restaurant worth your time and money and even easier with their take out option.

Wonderful little spot in Bellflower. Super friendly service and generous with the portions.
The fried Catfish was crispy, but light and airy, as though it barely touched the oil. Perfectly seasoned. I don’t usually like tarter sauce, but their hommade tarter sauce worked so well with the fish. Especially if you use the provided hot sauce.
The brisket was thick and fell apart and the bbq sauce had just the right amount of vinegar and sweetness
The food just kept coming. A dinner plate gets you two sides and a choice of biscuit, cornbread, or hush puppies.
I got the collared greens and the red beans and rice. Both were delicious.
They also gave us fried collared green chips to snack on with pickled ranch. Also not a big fan of ranch, but this was good.
Five hours later, and I’m still kinda sleepy

Great food , they got me stuck here every week ordering this good soul food , they give you huge portions of food . It’s worth it . Thank you for being open because you give the community plenty of good memories. It’s worth every dollar . Home Cooking is what RJs gives to their people .
