Had to wait ~20 mins for my meal and only after reminding them I was still waiting. When i reversed back to window they acted suprised looking around for an order that apparently was sitting on the counter for awhile. Okra was cold…and manager acted indifferent without any concern around making it right. Only car at the time when I pulled in around 515. First and last trip here.

I haven’t been here in awhile but it used to be my go to place for catfish because it was just that good. Yesterday I was feeling fried chicken and it was a great choice! My husband said it was a bit salty but that just means it was seasoned perfectly. We like our okra extra crispy and well done so I was so happy to see the guy in the back scoop out an order from the already cooked batch and drop it back in the fryer for us to get it just right. It was perfect! Service was great, iced tea was excellent! I’ll be back for catfish soon.

Usually the fish is very good and this time it was…. But I got the wrong order. They told me it was going to be 1 min to cook it fresh. No problem. It actually 7 mins but thats ok. I waited. But when they brought me my order, it was the wrong order. Luckily I checked it before leaving. I went back thru the drive-thru and they gave me the right one. I would’ve been so mad if I got home and it was wrong. Im tired and just wanted to go hone and eat. And it wasn’t busy at all. They prob had 2 customers within 10 mins. So I dont know how they gave me the wrong order.

Chicken express is my favorite fast food restaurant. This location always gives me small portions and it’s hardly ever fresh. Tonight I arrived about 6:20pm and my chicken strips were dry and thin. They had been sitting there for a while to say the least. I have been here many times and I keep coming back because I love the other locations. I have had several bad experiences at this location. The portions for a $13 combo is pathetic. Last fall we waited over 20 minutes for fish in the dining room and I went to see if it was still being made. The manager helped me and she was not happy to be there. She was treating the new person like they were beneath her and she wasn’t kind. It was his first day and she was speaking to him in the most disrespectful way. She was rude the entire time and we ended up leaving because she was arguing with me. I never wrote a review or anything because I hoped that she realized how awful she was being. Also, I was hoping this was just a bad day for the location. All this to say I have given them 5 other chances after this and every-time I am disappointed. We are in this area often, but we will just go to the one on Penn, they always have fresh food, great portions, and friendly service.

Definitely better than competition.
I don’t believe they use Disodium guanylate which is a food additive or Disodium inosinate which is also a food addictive.
Both addictive salts used in chicken at Chick-fil-A, kfc and popeyes. (This is what hooks you up and you crave it)
Their chicken taste naturally flavored and less salty which is good.
Definitely recommended and definitely would return.

The chicken was good but they only put about a teaspoon of gravy on their mashed potatoes, and it tasted like just plain old instant potatoes. The corn on the cob was delicious as well.

If you have a problem at this restaurant with your order like I did just know they do not respond to communication attempts and ignore you in attempts to not refund your money. My family got food poisoning from under cooked chicken and I bought a large sweet tea along with gallons and it tasted like cleaner and was NOT AT ALL sweet. Horrible place, even WORSE customer service. Chicken Express used to be my favorite place. I will not be back.
