We visited March 1, 2026. It was a first time there but we were familiar with the setup! Waitress and staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious! Atmosphere was great and all though it was busy it wasn’t very loud. We plan to revisit if we find ourselves in the area again. Costs were around $27 a person.

This was a fantastic dining experience for me. The service was spot on and the ladies there were helping each other, so it felt as if we had multiple waitresses. The food was home cooking. They would bring the items out in seperate plates. When you finish that plate they would bring you another. If you go there hungry then I feel you will get your moneys worth. The atmosphere was exactly as advertised. They play music there sometimes. Only open three days a week for supper.

Hidden gem out in the middle of nowhere!! Service was top notch!! Family style. Food was hot and well seasoned!! First time I’d been in over 30 years!! We had a group of 20 and they did a great job taking care of all of us!! Would recommend it for a large group!!

I came here with my wife and grandmother in law, and our family. We took a bunch of winding roads to get here and almost missed the place.
Once we arrived, we were confused as to where the front door was since there were several doors that led to nowhere.
After being sat down at our table, we are informed that they are serving a bad batch of sweet tea that tasted like swamp water from the nearby nuclear power plant.
Once our food arrived, it was frustrating because we had a table of 10 people in total and we were only given one serving of each item at a time.
The mashed potatoes tasted off and come to find out that margarine was being used as one of the main ingredients.
Fried chicken was okay at best, Bojangles has better chicken.
Ribs were okay, but the sauce they were covered in was lacking flavor.
Overall, for 25$ a person, you would expect much better quality than what we received.
I hope this information helps when thinking of visiting this restaurant.
God bless :).

We had a party of 20 on reservation for Saturday night. We couldn’t get refills on drink for a long time. Chicken was brought out in little baskets and would be empty in a couple seconds. We kept running out of food because the bowls are so small that they brought food in. It would be ok for a smaller party but 20 people needed more. My father in law got 1 chicken leg and kept asking for more. The waitress said they were out of chicken but would cook more, he waited about 20 minutes. To pay $27 a person for ( all you can eat) then not get enough is ridiculous! Some left and ate something at home. We won’t be back. I had never been and I was so disappointed.

I truly do not understand the high ratings… at all. My fiancé and I, plus our friends who are married went here last night. My fiancé hadn’t been here for years, but he grew up coming here with his family often.
The food is absolutely flavorless… I’m sorry to write anything negative, but to pay $72 for 2 people (with only 2 sodas and a banana pudding plus the dinner fee) is INSANE when the food is this bland, beige, and flavorless. The only thing that had any flavor or seasoning was the green beans; but they were so overcooked that they turned to mush as you tried to stab them with your fork.
This place use to cost about $15 a person… even that is a stretch for the quality of food you are getting. The service was horrible as well. It was busy when we went, but there were a ton of servers and it was near impossible to get our waitresses attention. Never once did they come back to refill the food bowls or even ask to do it; by that point we were all just grossed out and over it.
We won’t ever be coming here again and have told our family that it has changed so much and is no longer even remotely close to being worth the price.
So if you want to spend $72 on bland, beige, and flavorless food; this is the place for you. As for me, I need quality food that actually tastes good if I’m spending $75. Ridiculous.

This is an easy home run. Best food I have had in a long long time. Ribs, apples and green beans were my favorite. Service was excellent. Chocolate cake was outta this world. The owner is sure nice and friendly. The only semi bad thing I can say is the coffee wasn’t hot, but it was 330pm so no biggie.

Had ham and chicken for the meats. Chicken was very greasy and ham was shaved. You could see light through it and was cold when served. It was tough to chew. Serving size of each side was barely enough for two adults. We both wanted corn bread. They only served one little piece They also charge 3% of the bill for a debit/charge card surcharge. I feel the customer is being nickel and dimed and over charged for the quality and amount of food 59.00 plus tax and tip is too much

Really good food. Homestyle country food. Comfort food. Everything is served family style at your table. If you can’t eat much at a time, then it’s expensive since you can’t take leftovers home. Limited food and drink menu items. Dessert is extra if you leave room. Very good service and friendly.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hillbilly Hideaway, and it was an exceptional experience! The fried chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining incredibly juicy inside. The green beans tasted like they were picked right from the garden, and the mashed potatoes were creamy and just the right kind of comforting. The atmosphere of the place adds to the charm, making you feel right at home. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, delicious comfort food!
