Had a terrific meal here after visiting Annapolis earlier in the day, and so glad that we found this unique, one-of-a-kind Aberdeen restaurant. Strong recommendation. Visited on a weekend night, and while every table was taken, the entire experience was manageable and enjoyable. Thanks to Tyler for helping us newbies. Incredible photo collection and knick-knacks throughout the business. This place was a fun visit. Loved my Meatloaf dinner, and my dining partner enjoyed her Stuffed Shrimp. Pepsi products. Lots of parking.

Came here for lunch yesterday. We had the Rueben and cheesesteak. Both served with chips. Although it took 30 mins to get our food and it wasn’t crowded, the food was delicious!! The portions are huge!!! You will not be hungry leaving here!! Our waitress was very sweet. There is so much memorabilia in here and it’s so interesting to look at it all. It felt comfy and cozy on a dreary , rainy day. Would come back if in the area.

We stopped at Mamie’s Cafe while traveling through town, and it was such a fun and memorable experience. The place is full of character—colorfully decorated with vintage photos, old kitchen utensils, and instruments. You could easily spend time just taking in all the unique decor.
The food portions are generous and served family-style—definitely big enough to share. Everything we ordered was delicious, and to top it off, they offer free dessert, which was a lovely surprise.
I’d highly recommend sharing dishes and being prepared to take home leftovers—you’ll be glad you did, as they’re just as tasty the next day. A charming and satisfying stop for anyone passing through!

This place is totally worth the 90 minute-2 hour drive. We had no idea this was where we were headed, but grateful this is where we landed. Let me premise that we were extremely hungry, and Mamie’s menu blew us away! I’m hoping you also have left overs as they’re even good reheated the next day. My friend had the broiled seafood platter, and I had fettuccine Alfredo with broiled crab, shrimp and scallops. Of course we shared, because to be honest, eat like a real family. Share the food, taste it, savor it. Each bite is exquisite. I also think the ambience adds to the wonderful meal that I’m sure everyone has had here. But I can only speak for myself. This place not only tantalized my taste buds but stimulated all of my senses by all that surrounded me. I must go back, as this place is magical! I felt like a little kid in a candy store. For Mamie’s dessert, I chose the rice pudding. Let me tell you, it’s like the perfect portion size and the right amount of cinnamon and whatever they use as cream base. Heavenly I tell you. Oh, and before I forget, we had the hush puppies for our app. And also complementary bread and butter. Believe me when I say, if you’ve never been to Mamie’s, go soon. I’m also blown away that from the street as I would have never thought what I would experience within its doors. I mean it folks, I’m as blown away as you are. My friend and I agreed that the next time we runaway, we’re returning here and trying something new on the menu. There’s just so much here to see and experience if you allow yourself to open your eyes. There should definitely be more hidden gems like this in the world.

We drive a little over an hour just for the food here! Delicious, large portions, and great prices. Feels like you’re eating at your grandma’s house in the best way possible!

Food was great. I ordered the Stuffed Orange Roughy and my husband the Delmonico smothered in Seafood. HUGE, and I mean HUGE portions. Enough to have dinner the next 3 days. They offered a free dessert as well. They’re offered a wide variety of different foods. Something for EVERYONE. The ambiance took you back in time. I recommend giving it a try.

We ate at Mamies yesterday, we had 8 people. 2 people ordered a bowl of soup, 2 people ordered salads and 2 people ordered hot Turkey, 1 person ordered pot roast and the other person ordered a steak. It took forever to get our food. I might add there wasn’t many people there when we arrived at 4PM. We got our food at 5:30 approximately It wasn’t a normal day at Mamies. Normally they have a busboy refilling drinks, but yesterday they were slack on refills. I know this service would be unacceptable to Brenda/owner. We still gave the waitress a big tip, which I regret. We always loved Mamies, but this service was unacceptable!

Not a good experience. I had my husband stop by around 4:pm on December 16th. I told him to go in and order carry out. It had been a long day for us after being at a hospital for a loved one that had just passed. We wanted something quick and simple. My husband went in to the counter. He picked up a to go venue. It was a blonde hair women with big glasses standing at the counter messing with her cell phone.after my husband decided what he wanted to order, she still decided to play with her cell phone at the counter. When she was finished, she decided to take my husband’s order. He ordered Spaghetti w/ Meat Sauce, no side salad and asked for garlic bread. She said we don’t serve Garlic Bread, Buttered Roll only. He declined the bread as well as the Salad. The lady then gave the total for the Spaghetti and Meat Sauce as almost $25.00. Thankfully he refused to order. The Blonde Women with pulled back hair and big glasses was not very nice to my husband. We then went to another near by restaurant and ordered Carry Out. We got Shrimp Linguine, Garlic Bread. One Order enough for 2, for around $15.00. We were talking about the Experience at Mamies when we hot home. I was furious the way at the menuethis women treated my husband. Especially putting her own wants first, playing with her cell phone. I called there and asked to speak to a Manager. Well, the Blond Hair Lady said, “I’m the Manager, that would be me”. I explained my situation and why I was upset. Her response, not so nice. Indignantly, she explained that my husband looked at the venue and he should have seen the prices, further she said that if I was going to call and complain to her about the prices……..I cut her abrupt mouth off, which a few choice words and hung up on her ignorant self. Mamies has always had a good reputation here in Harford County for the most part. I would hope that this so called Manager isn’t the start of it’s down fall. If this is the case with this Manager, I’m the one to get the word out for sure.

My first time to Mamies. Everything was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. I was with a church group of about 30 people, everything came out on time and everyone was happy. I got the stuffed Cornish hen meal with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was like having a mini thanksgiving meal. The portions are huge! Desserts are yummy, wrapped to go and complimentary. The decor is homie and unique.
Come to Mamies if you want comfort food that’s all homemade. The place was full of happy diners. This is a staple in the area, you must try!
