My family and I celebrated a birthday dinner last night and had an amazing time. I’ve been going to Raindancer my whole life and would absolutely recommend it. We ordered the French onion soup, a Caesar wrap, chicken wings, salmon, and the penne alla vodka. Everything was delicious. Our waitress (Alison or Alisha) was wonderful and very attentive. While the prices have definitely gone up, it’s still well worth it in my opinion. The cozy decor really adds to the experience as well. It’s a must visit in Amsterdam!

3 old friends went for late lunch, 2:00 PM. We were not allowed into the front area where there are windows, even though we had a reservation, and were seated in the dark, confined area with no natural light. We all had the long bone rib steak ($49.99). The meat was cooked as asked, but the quality was poor, much grizzle, fat, unedible material. The waiter was excellent. The chairs were reasonably comfortable. We do not drink alcoholic beverages, and the bill was $250.00 for 3 with a 20% gratuity.

This place should not be missed from to the variety of dishes available to the generous portion sizes. The dishes we had were excellent the prime rib was spot on. Stop in and give them a try!

I apologize for never writing a review prior to this, because in the past we’ve always been overjoyed coming here. I’m always recommending the place to everyone who wants a good steak. So for Valentine’s Day I booked a reservation over a month prior for 7pm for us and two of our friends for a double date. We actually got seated right away, got our drinks and apps reasonably fast. My wife and I ordered the prime rib for two sweetheart special. Over an hour after we ordered the main course came out. I see the steak and immediately realize it doesn’t look right. Definitely not a prime rib, that’s because they brought us the heart shaped ribeye. Overcooked no less. Everything was cooked wrong for the table. My wife was eating the seafood portion of the special and I was getting the prime rib. It’s the only reason I chose it. So I mention it to the waitress who was insistent (off of memory) I ordered the ribeye. I make mistakes occasionally and I’m soft spoken so I might have said the wrong thing or wasn’t clear enough. Then I realized they brought au jus…iykyk. A few moments later she comes back and says I did order the prime rib and they were out of it. Ok. So I ate the mashed potatoes. They gave us half off and offered a free dessert. Which they ran out of that also. The place was completely booked, how do you not have enough for a 7pm reservation. We’ll be back, but without encouragement it’s going to be a long time. Very disappointed. And I’ll withhold my recommendations until I’m sure they are in a good place again, because last night ruined it for me.

We’ve came here for years, but the last few visits have been awful. Today I got a chicken Caesar wrap, for a $21 wrap I’m expecting it to be pretty good. There’s maybe a tablespoon of dressing on the entire thing, and it’s just thinly spread onto the tortilla. The lettuce, croutons and chicken are completely dry. I’d expect a little more effort for these prices. I could’ve made a better wrap at home. Our waitress also never came back for a quality check and wasn’t particularly pleasant. Unfortunately as long time customers, we won’t be back.

The best meals in a 75 mile radius. Hands down. Have never had a bad meal.

Was soooo disappointed when we drove 35 miles to go to Raindancer which i have been at 50 plus times. The menu is changed and horrible, prices were outrageous and the person who served us was very preoccupied with other stuff. Ordered a sirloin and the two sides came in a plastic cup and a black plastic dish. Seriously so unimpressed. Asked for a roll extra charge and couldn’t even eat it. I won’t ever go back.

I was refraining from writing this review but after two recent poor experiences I feel as if it is warranted. The recent menu changes were a poor idea. They removed sides from dinners and made the meals more expensive. We ordered two, chicken penne ala vodka meals and two salads (additional for the sides and for the chicken) and our total came out to $75! The meal wasn’t even flavorful and the salads were skimpy. When we went in to eat a month ago, the young hostess was rude when I asked if we could wait to sit at a booth because we were waiting for friends. She said it would be a long wait so instead we were sat in the back corner of the restaurant where it was so quiet that we didn’t even feel comfortable having a conversation. I asked if we could be moved to a booth near the bar, even if it meant waiting an hour and she was extremely rude with us. Her shortness of words, grabbing of the menus, and actions spoke volumes. Between these two events, I am having a hard time supporting a business that is so close to home.

Excellent restaurant with very good food and service. I had the seafood casserole while my wife enjoyed the filet mignon. I recommend both. We had the Caesar salad and while it only came with 1 anchovy our waitress was nice enough to get us a few more. Too full for dessert so no comments.
