The food is good, the staff are so accommodating, and the rooftop view was stunning. Will definitely be back for a special occasion. Came with friends to celebrate my best friend’s wedding! Also, the Key Lime Drink was my favorite. Highly recommend this drink and the restaurant.
Also, the server Ruari is fantastic and was so kind and down to earth. Is definitely the reason our trip was 100%!

Loved it there….beautiful rooftop with great views and food. Service was good! Loved my salmon and son loved his tenders Definitely will be back many times! Went downstairs and many TV’s and good food and service again! They have a power hour each day where is it 2 for 1 drinks

This was the 3rd or 4th time that I went to this establishment. The first few times food, service and atmosphere were great. Yesterday, a Saturday evening, not so much. The food was absolutely horrible. We had a party of 5. 3 burgers were ordered. Burned, too small for the large roll, devoid of taste and toppings. The orange spinach salad was atrocious. The broccoli appetizer looked like something from a sci-fi movie. The server was good however. We did not voice our concerns because the place was so loud we could not even hear ourselves talk.And the one table available upstairs for us to sit at was covered in coats by another group of people, who reluctantly moved them. I get it is a bar, but we were not aloud to sit down stairs because that seating isn’t available until 7pm. We were there at 6.55! No lie!! I will have to think twice about choosing this place again.

Went to the Towson location and was met with a horrible atmosphere and experience. My order was messed up and after asking to speak to the manager I was met with nothing but hostility, passive aggression, micro-aggression, racism, and no empathy at all. I have never been to an establishment where if the staff messes up a customers order they refuse to fix it. The manager repeatedly told us next time to “just read” the menu properly and that it is their policy. However after reading several reveiws and finding very similar complaints, if you are going to have such a strict policy regarding messed up orders and not being able to get it fixed it should be posted in the establishment WHERE CUSTOMERS CAN SEE IT! The manager was very rude and was not making any accommodations to our food after we repeatedly told him I was allergic and could not eat the food. I think the least he could have done was offer a discount or complimentary drink from the menu. It should not be this common to have so many racist reviews from one establishment. If anything BACKYARD TOWSON has a known reputation for selling liquor to minors and it will be taken up with the police just like Green Turtle. Racism and misogyny is very uncalled for and embarrassing in 2025. The servers were nice.

Like a solid college town bar. The rooftop bar is better than downstairs and awesome with nice weather and the deck and all the windows are open. We’ve been on a few Saturday afternoons, not crowded. The bartenders do tend to hand out at the far end of the bar so service is infrequent. The food is good, the drinks are OK, it’s clean but it can have that smell of a college bar, spilled beer and cleaning products. We had the chicken tenders, really good, and nachos, good. The burger, pass, it’s not good, line processed patty – too many great burgers in town to eat this one, chicken sandwich was good. There is a great”power hour” happy hour with 2 drinks for one. So, Good, solid, nice on the roof.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch the host wsd nice and pleasant, our waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. We ordered the crab n shrimp omelet, buffalo chicken omelet, and pancakes.
The pancakes had no flavor taste like cardboard, the crab omelet had NO crab meat just shrimp, the buffalo chicken was ok.
When we asked about the omelet missing crab our waitress said she had to speak with the manager who took 1.50 of the tab.

After I wasn’t satisfied with the way my order came out, (that I hadn’t touched) the manager told me to my face that it isn’t company policy to HELP accommodate me after I told him I was VERY upset that my order was wrong. He told me to give my food to someone else and read the menu, which is NEVER the response you say to a PAYING GUEST. While speaking with him I felt nothing but passive aggressiveness and a very nasty/rude attitude. Even the servers warned us that he has a disgusting mindset and doesn’t care about his guest, yet I still had hope that he would be helpful and that I would leave the establishment happy and satisfied. Instead I left hungry, disappointed, angry, and feeling like the way I was spoken to was racially motivated. After taking a look a look at other reviews (which is easy to find from in these reviews, and all within the past few months) it’s clear that this isn’t the first time that people have felt racism and felt unwelcomed in this establishment. Many people are also expressing that they have experienced attitude, unprofessionalism, disrespect, and racism from this establishment and managers. This behavior is disrespectful and should NEVER be tolerated. Making sure your costumers are happy with their experience and ensuring that they feel welcomed isn’t your policy, but allowing minors to drink underage is??? Yeah ok..

Christian made my monday so enjoyable. We were looking for a place to celebrate canadian thanksgiving, and christian did nothing more than join us in the celebration. I have never been to a bar that is more welcoming and more accepting of every single person that walks through those doors. They truly care about my health and wellbeing. If you want to have a great time, this is the place. Just make sure Christian is working.

Upstairs was crowded and loud. Tables are so close together, you would hit people at the adjacent table when getting up from your seat. There are A LOT of stairs to get to the bathroom and 3rd floor, so take that into consideration. Food was average. We had the giant pretzel, avocado bowl, classic cheeseburger, and crispy chicken sandwich.
