If you are from the East you may find great difficulty finding a for real Italian Restaurant in ABQ.
Look no further. After a year of disappointment searching I found this is the place.
I can only describe it as high quality and you will feel great comfort by sitting for a meal here.
Salsicca and pasta are perfect and the pizza is amazing.

First time here, will be back. The calzones were everything I hoped for. Full of ricotta and sauce in the side, something lots of Albuquerque places get wrong lol. The owner was being super nice to a little baby that was in line, gave proper Italian restaurant vibes.

Excellent food and staff. It’s not everyday I can say this. I met Sal and let him know that his food was excellent. My server, Teresa was great. Prices were average for the times. Wait was not that bad, about 5 minutes on a Thursday evening around 6:30 PM.
I would rank this a must go if you like Italian. Don’t pass this place up. It’s in the Ladera shopping plaza.

I saw Sal’s when I needed to drop something off at UPS next door, looked them up and the food looked great. Went with a friend last night and the food was great and to me, authentic and homemade. My friend got the Lasagna and I got the Manicotti. Very similar dishes that come with a side salad. My friend and I were both very satisfied. I thought it was great and am going back with my sister this Saturday. One more thing is that it’s pretty quiet and good for conversation.

A reasonably priced blast of flavor! Fantastic dining! The breads were very tender, the sauce has a great homemade taste and the sausage and meatballs are also tender and homemade. The service was prompt and professional. Our food was worth the wait. Keep in mind we ordered baked plates, so it did take a little bit of time. The desert was phenomenal! The dining atmosphere is nice a calm with low music playing in the background. It’s a great place to sit, relax and have a nice conversation together.

Was surprisingly disappointed. From the outside looks like a nice place. I’m sure this was a really good place to eat. Not sure what happened but the food was not good. The servers, although nice agreed that the place went down hill. Hopefully it finds it’s way back.

I grabbed a slice of cheese pizza and let me tell you…..I’m from Chicago and this pizza to my opinion is the best in Albuquerque thus far. A solid 9.2 folks!!!! The crunch is amazing you can hear it in across the world!! The balance of cheese and sauce is incredible and super satisfying and very flavorful!! Can’t express enough how flavorful this pizza is. Just go grab you a slice!! The servers here are very kind give em a raise!! For a 3 dollar slice this is an epic win!! This place is worth it!!! The pizza goat!!!!

I just ordered a medium pepperoni with half green chile. For a pickup order. The employee working the cashier was friendly and attentive. The pizza OMG was delicious, crust was crunchy but still chewy, green chile was the type of hot temp you’d expect in NM. Not the whimpy stuff that other restaurants use so that it won’t be too hot for tourist. Everything was wonderful I’ll definitely be returning.
