Wow wow! The food was absolutely scrumptious. The decor and design was great. This restaurant is awesome and the staff was great as well. We had delicious appetizers and the entree was outstanding. The prices are good as well. We went on a saturday and we made reservations for very early in the afternoon. As the time went by, the place began to fill up and the noise level increased.But it was still appropriate.And a very nice level for the size of the crowd.

Great experience. Had the Ribs and Shrimp phenomenal ribs tender and saucy, shrimp tender juicy and flavorful! Our server Luz was excellent, attentive, & knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. Will absolutely be back for service alone, food is amazing & the forbidden fruit cocktail is out of this world, got a Togo cocktail 750ml bottle of it because it was that good. Great job

Not the best first time experience! The atmosphere is nice…the music selection is appealing to a younger crowd during brunch hours. We were a table of four and some how my entree order was never placed . The waiter was very empathetic and even offered a comp drink, but unfortunately at that moment I was already disgusted. Imagine being hungry and only having grits! Then the icing on the cake…the bathrooms were . No toilet was flush and it reek! I definitely don’t think I would return…nor can i recommend this spot, but I will say try at your own risk. Everyone else loved their food…bbl, Mediterranean salad… cauliflower…French toast. Oh and the tables are super small! Our table knocked over an entire meal and the table next to us knocked over their picture. The tables are not suited for a large crowd

Like a micro clubbing scene. The music was great for the mood. The menu is concise not a lot of variety but I had the fish of the day and it was cooked to perfection! The drinks are the highlight! These are not no baby drinks, be careful. I LOVED the idea of the signature cocktail flight because sometimes you want to try more than one drink off of the menu. Something unique and loveable about this place. We purchased the membership so we’ll be back!!! Would recommend especially for a date night!

I’ve been here five times, and I just can’t get enough of the short ribs of beef and carrots—so delicious! We enjoyed some great drinks too. The food is always seasoned perfectly; I never need to add salt or pepper. The vibe is lovely and well-lit, making it a fantastic spot! I’ve dined both outside and inside, and each experience was wonderful. The server was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was so inviting that we ended up chatting long past closing time. They kindly let us know when it was time to wrap up, which was really nice.

This was my first time visiting the Barrel Club and not sure if I will be back. I try not to judge restaurants on a busy day because it’s busy and hectic. Going on Valentines Day may not have been that clever. I had a 3:30 reservation. The doors did not open until 3:40. We did not get seated until 3:50. Now keep in mind you only get 2 hours at the table.
We ordered drinks which came relatively fast. Our food came quick as well. My husband had the chicken tortilla soup with a minimum amount of chicken.
I had the medallions for my meal. It was 2 ounce pieces of steak with crisply potatoes. It was ok, not good not great just ok.
Our server was polite and friendly.
This is a place for now that was just ok, not good not great OK.
Nice love songs were playing.
It was a photographer there. I did not like that. I feel like you should seek them instead of being bombarded with being asked do you want a photo. Also the pictures are expensive about $21 each.

Food, service, and atmosphere is 5 stars. I would highly recommend making a reservation as this place can get crowded fast. Even with a reservation we had to wait about 10 min which wasn’t too bad. Only got a chance to take a picture of the oysters because when the food came, it was time to slam. The Cajun Salmon and loaded mashed potatoes did not disappoint.

Disappointing experience tonight at Barrel Club in Oak Lawn, which is unfortunate because we usually enjoy this restaurant.
The website and exterior signage state that Saturday dinner service runs until 9:30 PM. I also attempted to call ahead but only reached an answering service. We arrived around 8:26 PM to find the doors locked, despite visible customers still dining inside.
When a family exited, we were able to enter and speak with the manager, Evin, who stated the restaurant had closed early due to low traffic. This was confusing given the number of paying customers clearly still present (photos attached). While we were speaking with him, another couple arrived and was turned away as well—even after showing that they had called the restaurant beforehand.
Additionally, the greeter was on his phone when we first arrived and ignored both the door and incoming phone calls, which continued even after we entered.
My husband and I live locally, so the inconvenience to us was minimal, but a family member traveled a significant distance to meet us and was unable to enjoy the evening as planned. It was especially disappointing to see this happen on a weekend night with inconsistent communication and service.
I hope management addresses clearer communication and adherence to posted hours going forward.

The service was just ok… however the food well my food was terrible I ordered the steak n eggs the steak had not one grain of salt how do u cook a steak with no seasoning the eggs were over cooked and had a burnt after the taste the hash was over cooked as well and dry. The manager stood by the kitchen door the entire time and didn’t touch not one table to ask how was everything. The broccolini taste as if they had a huge batch already sitting prepared instead of cooking to order dry and tasteless. The chef needs to be fired!!! For even allowing that food to touch a table.

We’ve had multiple events here, and every time it’s been solid. The party room is super convenient, affordable, and very nice. The manager who sets us up is always cool about all the little things we ask for to make the parties perfect. The staff that works the events actually pays attention and makes sure our guests are good, which I respect.
The spot itself has a good vibe — Sunday brunch is always packed, and that energy makes it even better. Plus, I love anywhere with slot machines, especially when I end up winning. Overall, it’s just a nice spot that does it right.
